Tendaar Bel was a Mon Calamari technician who worked under the Galactic Empire before he was freed by the Alliance to Restore the Republic. He then was recruited into the RZ-1 A-wing interceptor project, and after scrambling IFF codes at the assault on Cardooine, he was assigned to Alliance Special Operations. He helped capture Whisper Base.
