Wikipedia

This template is a modified version of Wikipedia:Template:Imdb name. Its purpose is to provide a uniform method of linking to IMDb entries. Unreliability

In regard to the unreliability of IMDB as a source, to develop further on the subject without adding unnecessary details to the documentation itself, here is what IMDB has to say about itself: "While we actively gather information from and verify items with studios and filmmakers, the bulk of our information is submitted by people in the industry and visitors like you!" --NanoLuuke^{Cloning facility} 14:51, 16 November 2021 (UTC)

Name should be IMDb

Hi,

I think the template should be renamed to IMDb. The site operates as IMDb, legally and stylistically, and has been for a long time. SeichanGrey (talk) 19:17, 31 May 2022 (UTC)

That's not super important. It's a template, the name of the template is not displayed to readers. Changing it will just be an unnecessary hassle and add an extra step (capitalization) to adding the template to a page. --Potsk (talk) 19:33, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
