An aspiring writer married the Human Naboo Handmaiden Teckla Minnau sometime after she returned to her homeworld Naboo following the death of Minnau's employer, Senator Padmé Amidala,[1] in 19 BBY.[2] Through the mariage, Teckla's spouse became related to her family, including her brother Rehtul Minnau and her half-sister Nandi.[1]
Behind the scenes
Teckla Minnau's spouse was mentioned in her Databank entry,[1] which was published on StarWars.com in 2008. The entry was written as part of the Hyperspace fan club feature "What's The Story?,"[3] in which subscribers would submit character backstories that, if selected, would officially become part of Star Wars canon.[4] Minnau's entry was written by the user ShadowCultist.[1] The The Clone Wars: The Lost Missions episode "An Old Friend," which premiered on February 22, 2014,[5] featured Minnau's death during the Clone Wars, prior to Amidala's death, thus leaving the canonicity of her spouse within the Star Wars Legends continuity uncertain.[6]
