Team Kinyen was a team that played the bolo-ball sport—also called limmie—for[1] the Expansion Region planet[2] Kinyen in the Galactic Cup of Limmie tournament.[1] The team was based out of the Grand Khanum Stadium in Capra, a large city on Kinyen, and could accommodate up to 150,000 spectators for Galactic Cup tournament matches. Team Kinyen represented one of the few offworld influences on the world's native Gran, though their team often failed to qualify for the Galactic Cup despite the citizens' enthusiasm.[2]
In 22 BBY,[3] Team Kinyen was bested by[1] the planet[4] Yag'Dhul's team, which won their bolo-ball game with two unanswered points in the tournament's opening round. The match's result was reported in "Coruscant Eliminated in Galactic Cup Opening Round," a news story published in the CoCo District Edition of HoloNet News.[1] Upon the Galactic Cup's suspension after the Destruction of Alderaan[2] in 0 BBY,[4] the Grand Khanum Stadium largely fell out of use.[2]
