Team Coruscant was a limmie team that played for the planet Coruscant, led by team captain Jipoly Numifolis.[1] In 22 BBY,[2] the inexperienced Team Coruscant competed in the Galactic Cup of Limmie tournament. Coruscant took on[1] the planet[3] of Fondor's team in the opening round, losing three to one in their own home stadium, the BlasTech Gikosphere.[1]

In an interview published in the CoCo District edition of the HoloNet News, Numifolis commented that the team had hoped to win in front of the home crowd. They added that as the sport was gaining popularity among local toddlers, Coruscant's team would likely be a feared competitor in about twenty years time.[1]

Behind the scenes

Team Coruscant was mentioned in "Coruscant Eliminated in Galactic Cup Opening Round," an article[1] written by Pablo Hidalgo and Paul Ens.[4] and published in HoloNet News Vol. 531 47 on the HoloNet News website[1] on March 14, 2002.[5] The article includes an illustration drawn by Joe Corroney[4] depicting Coruscant's game against Fondor. Although one of the two teams is visible, it is not clear which.[1]
