The Tayan League was a socialist political party that ruled the planet Kinyen during the Imperial Era. The League was also focused on the Doellinist religion.[1]
The Tayan League was formed over 11,000 years before the Battle of Yavin by a group of Gran veterans. It was originally created to fight the forces of the Galactic Republic under the Pius Dea. The League was successful at defeating the forces of the Fifteenth Pius Dea Crusade, and took control of Kinyen.[1]
Approximately 1,500 years before the Battle of Yavin, a progressive faction of Tayans formed and took control of the party. They called themselves the Neo-Tayans and funded the creation of the Great Gran Run. Five hundred years into their leadership, a revolt broke out among the Dugs of Malastare, a Gran colony, which ultimately led to the isolation of Kinyen and the loss of its colonies and wealth.[1]
