Tavan was a Human male sentry who served in the Imperial Army and was stationed on Korriban during the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the resurgent Sith Empire. He was sent to recover research supplies by sergeant Garus after the Sith Acolytes using them to research the Tomb of Marka Ragnos went mad, but found them in possession of Imperial soldiers who went berserk, who also held the code cylinders required to open the multilocks on the crates. Not helping the matter was his soldiers' reluctance to shoot their former comrades, and the group ultimately failed to recapture the cylinders and were wiped out. Through a hologram sent to Garus, an acolyte became aware of and managed to complete Tavon's mission.[1]
