Tarnik was a male individual who resided in the village Torbel on the planet Lanteeb during the last decades of the Galactic Republic. By the time of the Clone Wars, Tarnik was middle-aged and had a scar that ran across both cheeks on his face. In 21 BBY, the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, who had ventured to Lanteeb on a mission to destroy a bioweapon created by the Separatist general Lok Durd and was disguised as a farmer under the alias "Teeb Markl", assisted Tarnik with preparing Torbel's defences to weather an approaching theta storm.[1]
