The Taris sector was a small subsector of the Outer Rim Territories' Ojoster sector that contained the Taris system.

History

The sector was represented in the Galactic Senate by Haydel Goravvus during the Mandalorian Wars. After the Sith conquest of the planet of Taris, the whole sector was annexed by the Sith Fleet under Darth Malak. Later, an amnesiac Revan became the Taris sector swoop racing champion in 3956 BBY.

Behind the scenes

The video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic first mentioned the Taris sector, but later sources placed the Taris system in the Ojoster sector. The The Essential Atlas Online Companion resolved the discrepancy by specifying that the Taris sector was a subsector of the Ojoster sector.
