Tank was an acquaintance of Luke Skywalker while living on Tatooine.[2] Sometime before the Battle of Yavin, Tank joined the Galactic Empire and trained as a pilot at the Imperial Academy, alongside friend Biggs Darklighter.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Tank was a nickname for Janek Sunber.[3] The name "Sunber" was later used in the game Star Wars: Hunters which features Sunber Containers,[4] though no connection has been made in canon between Sunber and Tank.
