A male individual was the father of the human Tamara Ryvora. He[1] was a famous[3] racer on the planet Kuat[1] and traveled with his daughter from system to system, competing in races.[2] Her father's occupation inspired Ryvora to leave her homeworld to pursue a racing career.[1] In 34 ABY,[4] Ryvora recounted her childhood with her father to the secret-pirate Synara San.[2]

Behind the scenes

Tamara Ryvora's father was first mentioned in "Synara's Score,"[2] the eighth episode of the first season of the animated television series Star Wars Resistance, which aired on November 18, 2018.[5] The scene that mentioned Ryvora's father was included in a preview for the episode, which was posted on the official Star Wars YouTube channel four days prior to the episode's release.[6] Brandon Auman,[7] executive producer and head writer for Star Wars Resistance,[8] felt the father's relationship with the Galactic Empire—with which Ryvora's family worked for—was not understood by Ryvora to be a bad thing.[7]
