Quell's age/year of birth?

From what I can tell the current year listed for Quell's age doesn't completely add up. The first reference for her age is: "Quell had seen holovids growing up on Gavana Orbital. She remembered being sixteen, sitting tight against Nette in the older girl's mother's apartment, watching recordings from the fugitive sentator Mon Mothma. She remembered Mothma's voice, so full of passion and sincerity as she recited Imperial crimes and urged listeners to fight for something better." (Alphabet Squadron p. 85) (emphasis added by me)

This indicates Quell was sixteen at some point after Mon Mothma publicly decries the Emperor for the Ghorman Massacre, which directly preceded the Declaration of the Rebel Alliance, which we know happened in 2 BBY from Star Wars: On the Front Lines. It's not clear how long after because this passage only refers to a recording, but it means Quell must be born during or after 19 BBY. At the oldest possible, Quell could be sixteen, listen to a recording of the fugitive Mothma in 2 BBY, and turn seventeen later in the same year.

Next is: "Nath Tensent was barely a decade older than Quell." (p. 56) "Tensent you know. Thirty-seven years old." (p. 179) This is where we get the current ~23 BBY year listed, since the book is shortly after Endor in 4 BBY.

Finally: "You're younger than me. Older than the others—except Kairos, maybe, who knows?—but young enough to have gotten the second revised history of the Clone Wars" (p. 250) Nath presumes she's older than Wyl (Nineteen, p. 178) and Chass ("Listed age inconsistent, ranging from twenty to twenty-five," p. 178). That makes Quell at least twenty and if any of Chass' listed ages are accurate, twenty-one at the youngest.

The first and second are arguably contradictory, but since the "barely a decade older" statement comes before Quell learns Nath's exact age, and is only an approximation, it can be viewed as her misjudging his age. Her concrete statement of her own age after a specific event whose timing is known should take precedence. Therefore, I think the evidence supports listing her age as "Between 1916 BBY." I wanted to lay out the evidence and my interpretation of it before making any changes. Toqgers (talk) 21:16, July 10, 2019 (UTC)
