Quick Question

Can someone tell me where Xizor is mentioned in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds because i don't remember it Commander Code-8 00:12, June 16, 2012 (UTC)

"...other times with a green diamond pendant (which would deliver a lethal dose of radioactive emissions)." I removed this because there is no source. I haven't found a mention of a pendant in "Shadows of the Empire". In Chapter 8 of the novel - I am looking through the book right now - it states that "only one woman" ever tried to contact Xizor after his ending of their relationship. She was "mixed" in with a vat of duracrete by a droid, which was used to make a building. This implies that MOST of Xizor's former companions heeded Guri's warning to not attempt to contact him again. It seems that he would have no reason to be giving out these pendants. 72.28.171.22 12:21, October 22, 2012 (UTC)

"As of 43.5 ABY, there were still rumors among the Jedi that Xizor was somehow alive; however, they were quickly debunked.: By who? There's no reference to support the "debunked" portion of that sentence. 24.220.35.20 19:54, November 3, 2012 (UTC)

Why is Shadows of the Empire not mentioned in the Appearances section? Unsigned comment by 66.176.234.218 (talk • contribs)

Pronunciation

At several points the pronunciation of the name is given as "shē'zōr" and I wonder where this phonemic spelling was given in an official source. Wherever I have heard the name (most recently the SotE audiobook) I am pretty sure it's "'shī zōr" and not "shē'zōr". Generally the letter "i" in (Xizor) can't represent the sound /ē/, not even in fictional names. Tiki Mo'ai (talk) 13:35, 31 July 2024 (UTC)

i have a vague memory of a scene in the novel Shadows of the Empire describing Xizor feeling annoyed at a droid stretching out Xizor's name, with Xizor seeming to have no objections to the droid's pronunciation, just how long it takes to say "Sheeeeezzzorrrr" (or something like that). But i'm not sure i'm remembering correctly. Odd if the book and audiobook use different pronunciations, though... Odd enough to put in this article even, if it's true. (Maybe the droid did mispronounce it, and the rest of the audiobook had it right.)
i have a vague memory of reading (on Wikipedia?) that most of Earth's non-English languages pronounce the letter i like the i in the English word ski. See also pronunciation (the first i), deviant (Art), petite, mosquito, unique technique, trio, triage, machine, magazine, mezzanine, studio, studious, broccoli, macaroni, burrito, spaghetti, pizza, visa, Lisa, Bianca, Diego, Mimi, Anita, Nina, Tina, Teri, terrier, carrier, hairier, Harriet, Darius, Damian, Obi-Wan, Threepio, Qi'ra, Rio Durant, Rio Grande, Mario, Utinni, Tatooine, limousine, Calrissian (the second i) and the Millennium Falcon (again, second i). Also Wikipedia (third i), Wookieepedia (the first i is silent), encyclopedia, and Pikachu. Say, how do you pronounce Tiki Mo'ai? (Is it ti as in pronunciation, k as in know, i as in lieu, m as in mnemonic, o as in to, ' as in Hawai'i, a as in ear, i as in Asia?)
