Canonicity

What marks Weik as legends? Since Weik and its corresponding articles have first and only appeared in the Star Wars: Force and Destiny Core Rulebook and Nexus of Power, books that have been described as "canon-adjacent" by the Story Group various times and include a mix of Legends and only-canon content, I think this article and it's corresponding articles should be better categorized as "canon", or at least have a canon-counterpart since it first appeared here, does not show up in any legends material, and, from what I've read, doesn't violate established canon information.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 06:00, March 8, 2018 (UTC)

  • Well then it shouldn't be legends or canon, those book are not considered 100% canon we can't be deciding what is canon, valid exception is obvious information like Lothal for canon we should be extra careful to what we add to canon we can't add something that story group is canon-adjacent, freemakers is considered canon-adjacent.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 06:09, March 8, 2018 (UTC)
    • Leland stated that Freemakers are a different type of canon-adjacent. If it's not canon or legends then would the article and all its info be non-canon, as well as any other article that is first mentioned?--Vitus InfinitusTalk 06:15, March 8, 2018 (UTC)
      • Generally the replies about FFG is usually "Its complicated", I think we should follow that instead of bringing information to a certain continuity. Its doesn't need to be canon is just a RPG article, maybe instead of adding the legends or canon a RPG warning or template saying its complicated and explaining that its not clear in which continuity this articles are located could make more sense than creating and adding to article to any continuity. If something its not clear then wookieepedia shouldn't be the responsable to "canonize" a character, planet, etc. That's my opinion--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 06:22, March 8, 2018 (UTC)
        • I agree, though it's going to be complicated because there is a ton of information from this book that has been integrated into canon and some legends articles, not to mention the shear amount of new information in it in regards to the culture of species and histories of planets. From what I've been able to read, most of the information doesn't violate what's established in canon except for the mention of a Gladiator-class Star Destroyer here or there. This is a very complicated issue that the Wook needs to sort out so that we can add the information in those books to the Wook.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 06:30, March 8, 2018 (UTC)
