Difference

Is there a difference between the Verpine shatter gun and the regular shatter gun? -- SFH 20:52, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Useless link

The External Link to a shatter gun from Triple Zero just takes me to some blog section over at the official site. No picture, no nothing. It should either be redirected somewhere else or deleted. DarthMRN 08:13, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Deleted it is. DarthMRN 18:50, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Picture

Just me, or does the Real picture there give anyone else a fanon feel?StavesAndSabers 19:26, July 30, 2010 (UTC)

  • It's a pic from Karen Traviss' blog of something Ray Ramirez built. Moon Demon 19:29, July 30, 2010 (UTC)

Undid Fanon

I noticed that what appearing to be seemingly fanon has been added by 99.30.129.201 including the Verpine shatter gun using gravity fields in comparison to magnetic fields as most sources claim and having no recoil. The basis for assuming that this is fanon is that whoever edited last compared the "gravity field" to a railgun, and they are not even in least related. Additionally, almost all information that I have read about for Verpine shatter guns refers to magnetic fields and coils, not gravity fields. Provide sources to back up edits that change key details of an article. --72.79.209.30 02:56, May 12, 2011 (UTC)

Further about the Picture

Since when did an authors blog (which is not moderated by editors) become canon? I know Karen's blogs had lots of info which ended up being canon, but not everything. I think the real issue is that some of Ramerez (the gun's creator)'s blog ended up on starwars.com. but in the picture's info it says that some of his blogs weren't canon. I didn't see the blogs and dont know Wookiee's canon rules by heart, but I have a feeling this is close but no cigar. Could a mod or someone in the know look into this? If I am wrong please tell why. If I'm right, please delete. IthinkIwannaLeiaWaddaUthink? 05:32, March 20, 2012 (UTC)

A wild official image appeared!

There is now an official legends picture for the Verpine Sniper (although it's listed as Verpine Shatter Gun) in "Strongholds of Resistance." I don't own a copy myself but you can see it in the following video at the 2:02 mark; second weapon in the box, to the right. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRE2tj17TAk

Now, does anyone know anyone who has a copy...? Neadst (talk) 18:02, January 6, 2017 (UTC)

Split

Seems like this article was merged in 2010, however, it is my opinion that the two weapons described on this page should be split. NanoLuukeCloning facility 23:12, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

  • Seconded, especially as there are new sources and materials detailing the shatter guns, and the elaboration of the weapons into distinct weapon categories. Dorian G (talk) 01:52, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
