Picture

I recently expanded on this article, and I feel that it would be appropriate to include a picture. For now I added Starkiller Base, but I was wondering if anyone thinks that it would be better to add one of Illum instead, seeing that Starkiller Base is technically a mobile battle station and possibly not located in the Unknown Regions by the time of The Force Awakens. I vote for Illum, for the exact same reason. [ pepoluan talk ] 11:31, February 8, 2016 (UTC)

Wild Space vs Unknown Regions

What I'm interested in is the relation between the "Unknown Regions" and the Wild Space.

Were they referring to the exact same area? Or is one a subset of another? Or are they separate areas with/without intersecting area(s)?

Any clarifications regarding this issue will certainly be of much value. [ pepoluan talk ] 11:36, February 8, 2016 (UTC)

  • Woohooo... someone actually asked my question to Rebels Recon, and Pablo answered in Rebels Recon #2.14!
In essence:
  • "Unknown Regions" is like a jungle, you know its boundaries, but you don't really know what's inside.
  • "Wild Space" is simply outside the map.
So, they are two separate areas without any intersection.  [ pepoluan talk ] 09:20, February 11, 2016 (UTC)
  • So, in effect, the new canon essentially reversed Wild Space and the Unknown Regions? If I remember Legends canon correctly, wasn't Wild Space the area that had known boundaries but was un-mapped and the Unknown Regions was the literal "unknown"? --SUPCOM0356 (talk) 04:50, March 18, 2016 (UTC)
  • Based on the definition in Unknown Regions/Legends and Wild Space/Legends, in Legends the Wild Space is the boundary between Known Space and Unknown Regions. Kind of analogous to 'Wild West'. New Canon made these two totally separate.  [ pepoluan talk ] 18:32, January 1, 2018 (UTC)

Article needs Works

So, with the Unknown Regions becoming Canon within 2015, Over time, more info has expanded with the Aftermath series, the books: Thrawn and Thrawn Alliances expanding a bit more, and even Star Wars Resistance has expanded upon (Childern of Tehar). All I'm asking is to have more information added, but it appears that when it did, it got deleted for some apparent reason.
