Connection to Treaya
I know she uses it, but are the names suppost to be that similker ;)Revan 00:36, 16 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- My take is, and always has been, that the stronghold became an academy for the Sith after Revan found it - as opposed to it having *always* been an academy. And that it was called the "Trayus" academy, because Darth Traya was, in essence, it's headmistress. Yes, I know the cough, "official" Chronicles say that Traya found the academy years after Revan, but quite frankly, that's bull and makes no sense:
- 1) She would not feel guilty about anything, since Revan was a redeemed Jedi at the point she supposedly wandered of "in his footsteps".
- 2) She could not have possibly trained the Sith she supposedly trained during the timespan allocated by the Chronicles.
- It is *far* more likely that Kreia followed Revan to war and was made the custodian of Malachor V while Revan and Malak went off looking for the Star Forge. She was probably training Nilhilus and bringing him on throughout all of this time. (Ulicus 18:31, 20 May 2006 (UTC))
Gee the article needs to be copyedited so that it reflects a historical continuity. It jumps between Traya and Revan and backwards. MoffRebus 20:42, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
About those artifacts Revan found on those tombs is it possible that they may have survived in the academy?
Prior to the Mass Shadow Generator?
I don't understand; it sounds like the academy was there before the Mass Shadow generator was activated, but if that is so, I don't understand how it didn't sustain any damage. It looks completely fine, so it seems like it would have been built after the destruction of Malachor. Is this explained in the game and I missed it or something? Tysis 1:36 13, June 2007 (UTC)
- Nothing is explained. Maybe it was remodeled? Who knows...--172.129.89.16 06:49, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- That is a question that I have asked myself a number of times. Why would Revan destroy an important Sith planet such as Malachor V, even considering the fact that he wanted to defeat the Mandalorians as quickly as possible? Perhaps more importantly, how the heck did the Trayus Academy survive the Mass Shadow Generator? Unfortunately, we just don't know the answers. A possible answer to the first question is that Revan has displayed a clear track record of getting rid of things once he is finished with them. In the non-canon dark side continuity, Darth Revan gives up the Star Forge a year after winning the Battle of Rakata Prime. Furthermore, in Darth Bane: Path of Destruction, Darth Revan's holocorn advises Bane to destroy the holocron once he had learned everything that he could from it. Soooo, Revan's behavior does not seem to be out of character.
As for the second question, I noted in the "Behind the scenes" section of the Chronicles of the Old Republic article, "Revan is reported as having constructed a 'stronghold' and a 'shadow enclave' on Malachor V prior to the Battle of Malachor V. In context, such statements could only be referring to the Trayus Academy, but Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords states that the academy was built by the mysterious True Sith thousands of years before. As such, it must be assumed that Revan reconstructed, expanded, and/or fortified the already existing structure." I am afraid that we just don't know how much of the Academy was original construction and how much was renovated or rebuilt by Revan.–Sentry 03:04, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

I always assumed it just stayed intact because it was that strong in the dark side. Never really questioned it. Calithlin 06:31, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Updates
This article is in desperate NEED of updates. Like for example, the article still says that Revan fell to the dark side on Malachor V in 3,963 BBY. But the Essential Guide to the Force says that he became a Dark Jedi in 3,961 BBY, and that he uncovered the lost secrets from Korriban in that same year, then eventually became Dark Lord of the Sith.--Zhran 05:29, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
