Redirect to "century tank"? -Aiddat 22:52, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

  • Which designation is more official? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem 20:01, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
    • From what I remember, it's officially called a century tank, but unofficially named a TIE crawler...obviously it can't actually be a TIE, as it doesn't have Twin Ion Engines...but I'll check some sources anyway. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 21:15, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
      • Databank says it's officially a century tank, though the NEGVV lists it (under Additional Vehicles and Vessels) as a "TIE crawler" and says it's "also known" as a century tank - Kwenn 21:23, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
        • The Official Star Wars Fact File and The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels both name it as the Century Tank officially...and just for proof, and because I was bored and wanted to scan something....take a look at the Fact Files pages here here here and here...feel free to add information from them to the article, as I'm just plain too lazy. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 21:34, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
          • Fair enough, so century tank is the designation; but what capitalization should we use? Databank and NEGVV use lowercase, Fact Files uppercase - Kwenn 21:37, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
            • The EGVV also uses lowercase. Seems to be the majority - Kwenn 21:38, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
              • Although I personally prefer the uppercase, I'll agree to going with the majority and using lowercase, as it seems to be what we do with most other articles anyway. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 21:42, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
                • I'm sorry but I just plain can't allow this to be in TIE Varients...it has a standard TIE Fighter COCKPIT...it does not have any part of their engines, and thus is not a TIE varient. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 23:25, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
                  • But it has a TIE cockpit, making it a variant. If an Ugly starfighter has a TIE cockpit, it's a variant as well. I'm re-adding it. This time, please don't remove it. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem 23:48, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Wouldn't TIE variants only entail the vehicles that actually fly? This one doesn't even have the Twin Ion Engines, which would grant it the TIE moniker. VT-16 19:49, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
    • It has TIE technology, making it a rather odd variant. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) Imperial Emblem 19:52, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
      • Actually it doesn't have TIE technology...despite the fact that TIE technology would be Twin Ion Engine technology, it also isn't made from a re-used TIE cockpit, just something that looks like one...and net even all that much, at that. Notice that it comes to a conical point where the TIE cockpit is flat. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 20:21, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Copied from StarWars.com

Came here to look this item up after getting one in a miniatures booster pack. Also looked it up on StarWars.com. Lo and behold, it would appear much of this article is lifted veratim (or lightly adjusted) from the StarWars.com databank. Shouldn't this article e re-written to exclude material directly lifted from another location?24.149.47.30 03:06, June 13, 2010 (UTC)
