Droid?

  • Do we have a source for them being droid-operated? Cracken's Threat Dossier describes them as normal ships. jSarek 22:32, 1 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Fixing Copyvio

  • Solo Command, at a guess, jSarek, unless it's merely confusion with the 181st? I've written a new draft article on the temp page; needs fixed with whatever the Solo Command references are, and maybe a pic, but should be okay to go live.... --McEwok 22:58, 13 Nov 2005 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure I remember Solo Command saying that the fake 181st consisted of half piloted TIE Raptors and half droid versions. Each human pilot had a droid "wingman" who would follow his lead in combat. 68.47.234.131 02:49, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

  • The 181st and the Raptors were separate groups. The 181st consisted of TIE Interceptors which were half computer-controlled, and the TIE Raptors were an experimental unit. When Tetran Cowall (aka Faux Fel) was shot down, he was in an Interceptor, and when the Raptors flew overhead Wedge didn't recognize them. —Darth Culator (talk) 04:02, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

Imperial Remnant

Hyperdrive? Where?!?

i Just checked a copy of Cracken's Threat Dossier, there's no mention of any hyperdrive on any of the TIE/rpt Raptors. It does suggest Zsinj was trying to make Raptors with shields & some of those prototypes were in the hands of Zsinj's former forces after his death. AFAIK, Raptors with hyperdrives are pure fanon. Length 6.8 meters, Really?

Yeah, i'm calling this out as a blatant error on the part of the WEG sourcebook. Since the TIE/rpt is specifically described as not having huge TIE solar panel wings but small 'fins' it can't be 6.8 meters, but in the range of 2.1-2.42 meters, no bigger than the spherical ball that is its hull.
