Developed by Lucasarts?
I thought this was being done by the U.K. based developer Rebellion. As stated in the press release. Did I misunderstand it? The Mysterious Droid 23:35, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
LucasArts says it was "U.K-based Rebellion", but I must say that it was sad that it was only for PlayStation Portable.Gotipe 06:32, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- The game is being made by Rebellion Developments, which is based in the UK. The original Battlefront games were created by Pandemic. --Rekubot 16:12, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Updating the Article
Come on guys, this article is really pathetic. I've been updating a lot, adding the story missions and the awards, but I'm really not too good at this. This game has been out for a few days now and I'm surprised at the lack of interest. I even had to go through and change things like "this is an up and coming game" or "it will contain new features"
I'm working on a table that shows which heroes are on which map, and what their powers are, like on the Battlefront II article.
And by the way, why are they adding a bunch of minor character heroes (Ki-Adi-Mundi, Aayla Secura, Kit Fisto, Asajj Ventress, IG-88, Ackbar, and Mon Mothma come to mind) before QUI-GON JINN or LANDO CALRISSIAN??? I've played mods with Lando on the PC before, but I've never even seen an attempt at Qui-Gon.
Edit: Still working on that hero table. I also fixed the fact that Mon Mothma and Grand Moff Tarkin are not actually playable characters. :-(
Also, I added a bit about Hero CTF and I'm going to make a list of everything you can equip and which section is it under (Weapon 1, Weapon 2, Power, etc...) and will also include the price. Eventually I will get the basics of the new version of Galactic Conquest up.
BTW, does anyone else just love the platform on Space Coruscant?

Just PSP?
Is this game ONLY for PSP? If Force Unleashed is for PS2 why not this one? It has spaces heroes! Or is the game just confirmed for PSP so far?
- Renegade Squadron is for PSP only. This isn't Battlefront III by the way. --Rekubot 16:12, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
cool!!
- Kit Fisto and Ig-88 in one? its like the greatist game ever!!!!! waddo you think? - MAL2
- 1)It would be if it were for the X-BOX 360.
2)What, exactly, does this have to do with the article? Nothing, so dont ask this stuff here.
--Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 21:49, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
i think it will be a good change for once, of course (after al, its jsut a market scam), i can say that, because im a owner of a PSP
But look at these wepons, are they going to be the only ones? and they better make more lightsabre moves, and , think back to battlefront 2, the fist sare strike, didnt kill a soildger. Any lightsabre hit should be 1 hit kill, not, smack the enemy aroung like you bought the thing from wal mart.

Ackbar
what exactly would ackbar do on the battlefeild. He's hardly the soldier type. AdmirableAckbar 23:06, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
- Obviously Ackbar, being the Supreme Commander of the Rebel military, decided it was occasionally prudent to participate in ground missions to better understand all his forces. :-) That or some game designer thought it would be cool to see a white uniformed Calamarian with a roket launcher attacking AT-ST's. Joking aside, Ackbar did seem to have some prowess as a ground commander during the Daluuj mission. He was able to outwit some Imperial troops and save the Falcon. A5-R
I thought the A5-R Juggernaut was a Rebel vechile, not a Imperial. User:Kilson
- Yes, it was a Rebel vehicle, not an Imperial vehicle. Btw, I recently played a battle on Geonosis in this game during the Clone Wars era. I found out that the vehicle was also used by the Galactic Republic. Cyfiero II 02:47, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Good point. Battlefront II was TERRIBLE for the PSP. T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E. It didn't hold a candle to the PS2 counterpart. Your theory is most likely correct.--72.65.221.30 00:31, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Though, the PSP version does have one MAJOR advantage...PORTABILITY!!!

- I'm Teancum, and honestly, I don't know if a reverse-conversion to the PC is possible. I've never looked into the files, but with a different developer it's unlikely that they used the same engine. You can tell that lots of the models are the same as previous games, but every model made for Lucasarts is owned by Lucasarts. So they probably gave Rebellion have at the original source models for Star Wars Battlefront 1/2. If I ever get a PSP I'll certainly look into it, but to be honest the possibility of using this stuff in SWBF2 is slim to nil.
- I was actually going to try and make a conversion pack of the levels for Battlefront II, but first I need the game and I need to improve a bit with my mapping skills. MonopolyMoneyBag 03:03, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

IG-88
Which model would it be? Could it be possible that IG-88D survived his battle with Dash Rendar and was finally destroyed on Sullust? Liberi Fatali37 05:02, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Cannot run
I have Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron on PSP but it does not run. I have the game installed in my PSP's memory card. My PSP is a normal one. Not PSP Slim&Lite. Why the game does not run. George Skywalker 14:31, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- Buy the game instead of pirating it. It will run if you're running from the disc on a stock PSP.
Clone Commandos
The clone commando page indicates that this game has said clones, yet this article dosent say anything. I don't have the game and can't verify either way. Rackham 02:38, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

More Screenshots & Images
come one guys we need more images. I'm going to add some
My opinion. Cause I have to be heard about this.
I was actually very disappointed with the game. It just didn't have the same feel as the other games. The physics are horrible, it seems like the units of moon jumping. It seems like they got so carried away with details that they didn't put enough work into gameplay. The auto adjust crosshair thing is horrible! I just want to look where I want to, not where the elevation tells me to look. The leveling of the tank aim is horrible. The clone tanks are too high to fire missiles at stuff and the AATs fire missiles so low that they damage themselves. They didn't even include clone wars era for Galactic Conquest! The only thing with fairly good gameplay is space battles. But it has flaws too! The missiles never miss! There aren't secondary positions on any of the fighters. The turrets can't fire far enough. The auto pilot option just leads to crashing even when landing. Why can't space heroes gain time after kills? Did they like for get to add that? Really! Back to land battles, the soldiers always use blaster rifles, blaster pistols, rockets, shotguns, and incinerators. But never jet packs, cloaking, power ups, snipers, or any special secondary weapons. They removed the crouching option which was squeezed into BF2 by holding both R and L and nudging the analog. Theres too many cinematic animations. The AI in the game are like pac man AI compared to BF2 for PSP! What happened?! The only good heros are IG-88 and Jango Fett. All of the other heroes fight like they're [Redacted by administration]. The Jedi and/or Sith take forever to make even one move! They don't even last long enough to make a next move! Why do the Magnaguards and imperial officers have such small heads?! The Snowspeeders are to weak. They're slow enough to get hit by blaster fire! From a pistol! The fire rates are too slow! They only thing that's good about the game is the customizing option. But online, the insignias are huge! They make everything too obvious! Player keep abusing the remote rockets! The auto assign option should come back! The matches are all just playing with the bigger teams now! Just to let you all know I'm a died hard B.F. fan that's played the games since the first one came out. If they make a new game with the same gameplay as this one I don't think I'd be able to take it. Sorry about ranting but this game just took the cake compared to BF2 for PSP which seemed way more impressive gameplay wise compared to its Renegade Squadron its horribly crafted sequel. - This is not the place for your opinions. This is a wiki. Zakor1138 05:45, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- Dude, this is a game made by an english company chosen by LucasArts, not by the original developer of the battlefront series or someone of their choosing as was KOTOR and KOTOR 2. You can expect it to be lame. However, this isn't the place for your opinions. Take those to the Star Wars Fanon Wiki or a forum. Flashfire212 05:58, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Carbonite Freeze Gun
I, being personally a freeze gunner, know that the gun does minute damage on impact, and, if I am not mistaken, I did kill some NPCs with it when they had extremely low health.
Capital Ship Interiors
I know it says that you're supposed to be able to actually fight inside a capital ship, like the big console versions of BFII, but in none of the Space Maps I've played does it let you go past the Turret Control Room into the Engine, Shield and Life Support Rooms - the doors just will not open. So does this mean that the claim "You can fight inside captial ships" is somewhat misleading? Ggctuk 20:25, January 30, 2010 (UTC)

Col Serra and X2
FELLAS, Col Serra aint even playable in his own game lmao, also, X2 and elite squadron are mentioned in one of the space missions, yet in the cutscene Col Serra doesnt even mentions him, you can say it was maded a year later, but actually they could have been developing it before RS, you can see it was going to be a massive game considering that it got ported to the PSP and DS, oh yeah also with a cheat code you can use phase 1 clone trooper helmets and use unused rebel faces that are also used in ES for the dantooine campaign rebels. —Unsigned comment by Average Mann (talk • contribs)
