Manual translation?
This site has a PDF of the game manual, that includes some illustrations of the weird animals in the game. Anyone know if someone can translate it? --JMM (talk) 14:39, January 15, 2013 (UTC)
- I could ask a Japanese friend of mine, yes. --LelalMekha (talk) 14:42, January 15, 2013 (UTC)
- With my own, very limited knowledge of the Japanese language, I can already tell you that the skeletal bird depicted on page 19 is Gaos Vader himself—or "Gyaosubeidā", as written in katakana. --LelalMekha (talk) 14:58, January 15, 2013 (UTC)
- Should we upload an artwork of Gaos Vader, now we know what he looks like outside of the 8 bit sprite? He actually looks a bit like Ridley. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 15:03, January 15, 2013 (UTC)

- There are some users who can speak it, but Skyrocket seems to be the only one active. Stake black msg 15:05, January 15, 2013 (UTC)
Isn't This Non-Canon?
Shouldn't this be listed as "Non-Canon" instead of "Legends?" It is a very loose adaption of an existing canon work, not an entry into the greater Star Wars story. Sithpiciously Evil (talk) 15:30, August 24, 2015 (UTC)
Is Tina really Hoth?
The Japanese wikipedia says "no." Several Japanese posts by Japanese players on retro game blogs agree. The fact it isn't named Hoth in the game would agree. If it's a preexisting world I'd be more likely to think some northern part of Tynna. If there is any real evidence it is Hoth I'd like to see it.--DroidBoyz201 (talk) 03:33, 12 July, 2024 (UTC)
- An editor actually asked directly Jason Fry about this a decade ago, and his reply made explicit we were to consider both as the same planet. But the article did not do a good job informing the reader of this association, so I have added a reference with the mail. NanoLuukeCloning Facility 15:12, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
Remainder of Enemy Names from Yavin 4
I have now added all of the enemies under their official names from all the stages up to Tina. The guides in the December 1987 issues of Family Computer Magazine only cover that far. IF the final stages were covered, it would likely have been in one of the two January 1988 issues of FamiMaga unless it skipped some issues before appearing. Regardless, the January '88 issues do not appear to be archived anywhere online. So unless someone finds/acquires them and the guide is present, this is the end short of Namco revealing the names. Unless, if someone wants, they can make "unidentified ____" articles for the final stage enemies in the meantime, but I likely won't bother. --DroidBoyz201 (talk) 01:50, 30 April, 2025 (UTC)
