Dating retcons
We have been dating the events of the begging of A New Hope, Rogue One and the latter Rebels episodes as taking place in 0 BBY, but Timelines dates some events of A New Hope in 1 BBY, which means all the events would be pushed back to at least 1 BBY. Is this logic correct? -ThrawnChiss7 (talk) 10:31, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
- Nah, it's obviously an just error that should be ignored. OOM 224 10:45, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
- I find it weird that you're calling it an error. Even one of the authors (and a Story Group member) has said that it was intentional: https://twitter.com/shkouks/status/1534280911130447872?s=46&t=Zjfq8T3PfhVSLvzPbylIEw. With the extra year that 0 BBY gives, it's better to drop it entirely. Look at the 1 and 0 BBY articles for both Legends and Canon: they contain the same information in the sidebar, despite them supposedly being separate years. The fact simply is that 0 BBY doesn't work. And when Timelines comes out, it'll be confirmed canon. Keeper of the Timeline (talk) 22:14, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
- And I say again, it's clearly not something done in error. This should be something discussed instead of just denying by saying "meh, I don't like it. Therefore, it's an error," like people did with the GrS dates from Nathan Butler in The Essential Atlas. The book now being released at Celebration shows this. The High Republic Adventures (2021) 1 retcon?
I understand that a tweet by the author conflicts with this, but considering this is a more recent source, wouldn't the placement this book uses be considered more correct? Or is it impossible for it to take place concurrently to Light of the Jedi? That seems like the only reason a tweet wouldn't be superseded by this. -MontztheMan02 (talk) 14:00, 14 May 2023 (UTC)

Confirmation for certain The Clone Wars episodes
Timeline of canon media references this book as placing Bombad Jedi in 22 BBY, Cloak of Darkness in 21 BBY and Nightsisters (episode) in 20 BBY, but these episodes' pages only reference older sources. Can anyone who owns this book confirm these placements? Is there a Wookieepedia policy to keep older sources if newer ones don't contradict them? Civil Warrior (talk) 19:27, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Timelines does date it to those years. Likely hasn't been copied over to the episode pages themselves as the timelines book came out relatively recently and updates filter through whenever someone has time to do them. You're welcome to swap the referencing there if you'd like!—spookywillowwtalk 20:37, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
