- Ah, that's good. I've only seen this on Amazon, and hearing they got things wrong in the past, I was sceptical. :) VT-16 20:58, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- EDIT: Can't find it anywhere on the DK homepage. Could you post the page with the official announcement as an external link or a source? VT-16 21:06, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe we should just get rid of it. I saw something this morning, but I can't find it now. More recently I found it here, but I'm sure that, like Amazon, isn't enough. I also found it on this.--Lord OblivionComlink

- Well, if that statistics link come from DK, then I guess it is official. VT-16 07:03, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Update?
I just ordered this book. which is listed as being released tomorrow. The one I ordered is the same ISBN#, and the actual title is "Complete Incredible Cross-Sections Of Vehicles" The cover for this book is different than the one shown; on all other sites. Also, the release date on this page is listed as April, 2007, but I'm supposed to get it this week.--Refuse Winst 03:05, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Two Versions?
Well, I recieved this book today, and I must say that it's amazing and incredibly thorough. It's well worth what I paid for it. But this is not a forum, so let me get to the point... As I said in the last section I posted here, all the websites, including the official DK Publishing site have a different cover than the one shown on this page. This cover features the Driod Tri Fighter over a dark background, and the title of the book is printed as "STAR WARS Complete Incredible Cross-Sections Of Vehicles". The one I recieved is the same as the cover on this page, with the TIE bomber over a reflective silver background, and the title is simply printed as "STAR WARS Complete Cross-Sections" (with the subtitle "The Spacecraft And Vehicles Of The Entire Star Wars Saga").
Considering that the cover I received is the one originally shown when the book was announced, I wonder if they changed it to the darker one, then decided to change it back, or if there is, in fact, two different versions of the cover. The only thing that makes me think there could possibly be two versions is the fact that mine came with a "STAR WARS 30TH ANNIVERSARY" sticker on the cover, making me wonder if it's a special 30th anniversary pre-order version.
If anyone has any insight into this it should probably be put on the page to avoid confusion. --Refuse Winst 04:09, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I know that from a dutch book-order-site (bol.com) you could order a english or US version of the old books. Maybe there's the difference? --BaldFett 18:07, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- The version I got today features the TIE Bomber on the cover.--Sompeetalay 13:47, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
I just checked bol.com, and it seems the grey cover is from Penguin Books Ltd, based in the UK, and the black cover is from DK Publishing US, I went to both websites and the URL and contact info and they are a US and a UK publisher. I think there are indeed two versions and it is just a UK and a US edition.
Where are the RotS+ Power Generation Specification coming from?
I noticed that the Venator and ISD (and by extension, the Deuce) article have information regarding the power output of the reactor in the infobox. Having the copy of this book with me, I can't seem to find any bit from the book either from the Venator's page nor the datafile at the back of the book concerning the ISD that mentions anything of the like. In fact, the only section of the book with explicit power listings is from the AotC section. Upon looking further, this problem further extends to other vehicles showcased in this book like the Providence and Munificent, all of which either point to this book or the standalone book, which is also missing this key information. The only value I can find attributed to these vehicle examples are peak fuel annihilation rates, which isn't enough to conjure up the power output number alone. Even if you were to cross reference the AotC section to produce the new number, this explanation doesn't work since that section in turn doesn't list the peak fuel annihilations rate of their ships, as you can see here with the page on the Acclamator and the Core Ship. So where are people getting these values? Am I missing it somewhere? Anakin Skyobiliviator (talk) 11:01, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
