Victory 2 Class Frigate

http://img386.[that shack with the images].us/img386/9862/sp32200509182301339fx.jpg

  • Star Wars Wiki doesn't have an entry of the "Victory 2 Class Frigate", so I didn't bother putting a Redlink in it. I just googled the name and on Images all it shows is a Model-Ship...based on a Colonial 1800's ship...in a glass jar.
    • Shouldn't this be a Victory II-class Star Destroyer instead? Cmdr. J. Nebulax 20:45, 3 Oct 2005 (UTC)
      • That really depends upon the specification, IMO. Perhaps the 2 rather than a II is significant also.

V-Wing

You said you wanted proof that the V-Wing is in fact the bomber unit...well: http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2005/276/reviews/927130_20051004_screen017.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2005/276/reviews/927130_20051004_screen018.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2005/276/reviews/927130_20051004_screen019.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2005/276/reviews/927130_20051004_screen015.jpg

Now compare that with the ARC's HUD: http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2005/276/reviews/927130_20051004_screen013.jpg

Those blue orbs look like bombs, don't you agree?

  • Not really. Unless you find ACTUAL PROOF FROM THE BATTLEFRONT WEBSITE, I'm just going to switch it back. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 19:57, 5 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, those blue orbs look more like photon torpedos to me, besides pandemic wouldn't scrap all the movie reference explaning that the ARC-170 is not a bomber.User:Purplesaber 42

  • How about we do this, I want to see CONFIRMATION that the ARC-170 is the bomber, until then, I will keep changing it back to the V-Wing. Advent
  • HARD PROOF:http://home.comcast.net/~philippians4-6/HylianShieldVideo.html Click on V-Wing, then wait for it to download.
    • Hello, I said, FROM THE BATTLEFRONT II WEBSITE. If you keep getting this stuff off of other sites, than it probally isn't proof. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 20:08, 6 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • The v-wing IS the bomber you guys are wayyyy behind!! (btw i have the demo i think i know bombs get launched out (not drop because of gravity lacking in space) to the front and cause HUGE explosions the arc has missles that are propelled.
    • Until we have proof from the Battlefront II website, there is NO solid proof to support your claim. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 13:53, 9 Oct 2005 (UTC)
      • Okay, from the Battlefront II website: "As a multi-purpose fighter, the ARC-170 Starfighter is capable of both dog-fighting and successfully attacking structures and objectives." 'Successfully attacking structures and objectives' is all the proof we need to show that the ARC-170 IS IN FACT the Galactic Republic's bomber unit in this game. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 14:00, 9 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • BUT!!! It doesnt use bombs ill take some pics from THE DEMO to show you! Since Lucasarts NEVER updates there website
    • Well, you have no solid proof to back up your claim. The V-wing is a small craft. The ARC-170, on the other hand, is a large craft specialized in more than one way of combat. You can try as much as you'd like to try to prove that you're right, but you'd only be wasting time. However, when the game comes out, we'll find the proof then. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 14:08, 9 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • YEAH then ill make a big topic saying PWNED HAHAHAH!!!
    • Fine, you want to get banned from Star Wars Wikipedia, be my guest. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 14:15, 9 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • sure ill get my buddies from the OFFICAL LUCASARTS STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT 2 FORUMS to tell you that the v-wing is the bomber and the arc is the MULTIPURPOSE fighter
  • fyi heres a pic to prove its not a bomber http://i17.[that bucket with the photos].com/albums/b75/Samspics_/DSC00316.jpg

those are missles not bombs idiots

    • Well, if your friends have ACTUAL, OFFICIAL proof, then fine. I'm just tired of constantly arguing with you all the time. And who are you calling an idiot? You could still get banned. Plus, that picture has a pretty bad quality. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 14:31, 9 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • i took it from my digital camara i cant hook it up to my tv and I JUST TOOK IT 5 MINUTES AGO!!!
  • AHA PROOF FROM A person that works for lucasarts http://forums.lucasarts.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1958533&#1958533

Correct

  • Are you sure he works for Lucasarts? I'd expect to find a Lucasarts employee with a "Moderator" tag or something like that. Also, notice that he didn't respond yet to your question of if he really works for Lucasarts. Plus, he's only been around for this month. It seems like he really isn't a Lucasarts employee, since he's relatively new to the forums and he hasn't answered "Yes" to the "Do you really work for Lucasarts?" question. Therefore, I wouldn't trust that yet. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 15:04, 9 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • yeah iam sure cause a couple months ago someone poped in and said he work for lucasart he answered questions and all of them came true so yeah they do this once in a while anyways the mods are only mods not devs so devs would not have a star next to there names they come in when they see we want info then they never appear again
  • damn he left see now hes probably not coming back...
    • Well, he didn't reply to that question. If he really does work at Lucasarts and that is the truth from a Lucasarts employee, then I'd say put the V-wing as the bomber. But until we have complete confirmation, we really shouldn't change it. So, if this Arty Shaw does return, and he is in fact a Lucasarts employee, then you can make it the right way. But not until we have absolute confirmation from either the Battlefront II site or a Lucasarts employee. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 17:09, 9 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Not that it matters, but the Lego ARC-170 model is indeed a bomber. I should know- I built it. Not sure how accurate lego is, but I think that the ARC-170 is definately a bomber. Xilentshadow900 20:02, 28 Oct 2005 (UTC)

LOOK INSIDE QUICK!!!

http://wickettheewok.1up.com/ YOU CAN PLAY AS WAMPAS!!!--Adventfear 20:12, 23 Oct 2005 (UTC)

  • No you can't. They're just in there to try to kill your player. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 20:14, 6 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • Will you please STOP contradicting everything I put on here? PLEASE?!--Adventfear 20:12, 23 Oct 2005 (UTC)
    • What? I only said that you can't play as wampas. I just gave the facts. Plus, I have no clue who you are. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 22:14, 6 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Confirmation about Units

http://home.comcast.net/~philippians4-6/boba3.JPG

  • Look at the unit list, the Sniper carries an Auto Turret, the Engineer carries the Health/Ammo, and the COMMANDER carries the RECON DROID. And I don't want you to tell me find proof from the actual site, That place is updated once in a blue moon. I found these screens somewhere besides the "Official Site"... I read on the Lucasarts Forums that the Magnaguard has a semi-automatic rocket launcher called the "Bulldog RLR." Please don't remove it. More Info, I spoke to someone who played the BETA of the game, and they said the bulldog is "a rocket launcher that usually takes 2 hits to kill enemies. Instead of reloading after every 2 rockets you can fire 6 continously without reloading."--Adventfear 21:50, 8 Oct 2005 (UTC) *More proof, this time taken from the PS2 version of the game.--Adventfear 20:09, 23 Oct 2005 (UTC)

http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2005/276/reviews/927131_20051004_screen005.jpg

  • Okay, then. But let's keep it at this. Also, if you have a few things to edit, please edit it all at once, not in twenty thousand separate edits. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 23:32, 8 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Can I get some comfermation the Neuropoison that the MG carries. I've been wondering about what it does, kind of like the radiation launcher? Post when you have a picire and answer.Purplesaber42:Purplesaber42

  • It's a grenade that shoots aout a wave of purple, any enemy caught in the radius cannot move and looses health.--Adventfear 20:09, 23 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • Shame that boba has no left arm... O.oXilentshadow900 20:07, 28 Oct 2005 (UTC)
    • Uncalled for. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 20:29, 28 Oct 2005 (UTC)
      • Hey, don't be such a Negative Nancy, people should be able to joke around. Xilentshadow900 20:33, 28 Oct 2005 (UTC)
    • Ah wait, I can see it. Never mind. Xilentshadow900 20:34, 28 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Blockade Runner

  • Im changeing the rebel space transport 2 a blockade runner because thats what it says is the rebel space transport on the official site Unit121 19:01, 14 Oct 2005 (UTC)
    • Where does it say that? I don't see it anywhere on the Battlefront II site. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 20:53, 14 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • The official ste, under "Vehicles". It says the Corellian Cruiser "functions as a troop transport."--Adventfear 20:07, 23 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • That doesn't neccisarily show that it's the Rebel troop transport. Now, I'm not disagreeing with you, but we'll need some hard-core proof here. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 21:26, 14 Oct 2005 (UTC)
    • Well theres more proof that its the space transport then the unexistant rebel gunship Unit121 01:18, 16 Oct 2005 (UTC)
  • Okay, prove it. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 19:06, 19 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Gametrailers Confirmation

On Gametrailers.com a developer confirms that there is a "Hero Free For All" mode in which you "Play as a Jedi or Non-Jedi like Leia and can just go at it." So I am going to put it in there. On a related note, the Dev also said that Wampas are in HUNT MODE.--Adventfear 20:07, 23 Oct 2005 (UTC)

  • Oh yeah, here is the link:

http://gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=1797 1st Video--Adventfear 20:07, 23 Oct 2005 (UTC)

    • Okay, Free-For-All: Fine. Wampa: The Wampa IS NOT a playable character. It is one of the creatures within the game. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 19:08, 19 Oct 2005 (UTC)

STARWARS.COM CONFIRMATION!!!!

Wampas Attack Echo Base It is among the most coveted treasures sought by Star Wars deleted-scene enthusiasts. Occasionally hinted at in still photos and a shot of C-3PO tearing a sign from a door in an early trailer, the script for The Empire Strikes Back originally included a subplot where the Rebel base on Hoth had been subjected to regular wampa attacks. Later, as Imperials entered the base, captured wampas took out some unsuspecting snowtroopers, helping the Rebel escape.

While these scenes were only partially shot and were ultimately abandoned because the monsters couldn't be made to look believable and menacing enough, you can now live the fabled scenario in Battlefront II by playing hunt mode on Hoth.

You choose if you want to be a lumbering blood-stained wampa or a fearful-but-well-equipped rebel soldier. Either way, ice-cavern monster-slashing thrilling fun is yours.
