Battle meditation
That "very different place, very jedi place" is just marketing hype. She doesn't do anything in the book with the ability that we don't see the other users of battle meditation use in legends. I would but the "very jedi place" if it was used just for a defensive thing to protect people but its also used when they attack the Nhili so its still being used to kill. Its just Soule trying to put a nice spin on this to make it sound special since they are talking about how unique all the jedi's connections to the force and how they sense them are. Which is also not knew but nice to see put front and center.
The book even says "Its a skill rare among the jedi" meaning other jedi have used it before and its not unique to Avar. Would that quote count for anything. It should be moved back to battle meditation. —Unsigned comment by RoninJedi37 (talk • contribs)
- For context, the Charles Soule quote in question comes from this interview. In it, Soule describes Avar's ability to be a similar concept to battle meditation, but he never outright says they are the same thing, and no in-universe source (so-far) equates them either. If we can't be certain that yhis is battle meditation, then we shouldn't say that it is. I'm not sure where you're getting this idea of "marketing hype." As to the other point, nothing on this page states that the power was unique to Avar. It's titled "Avar Kriss's network" because the novel uses that exact terminology and a better canonical name for it hasn't been provided at the moment.
