Section 1

The info on the name wasn't my speculation. It was the Star Wars: Bounty Hunter strategy guide that gave the info. --24.247.124.158 14:59, 9 Oct 2005 (UTC)

  • The problem is, the paragraph said nothing concrete. Maybe that, maybe he just liked it. Not something you would expect in an encyclopedia article. It's still speculation, even if not your speculation. - Sikon [Talk] 15:21, 9 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Jango's modifications

It is stated in the Star Wars Databank that "Both Jango and Boba Fett staved off its obsolescence by constantly rebuilding, customizing and updating the ship's many features." Shouldn't we change the second sentence in the third paragraph to comply with that? Simply deleting it would eliminate the segue into the next sentence, though, so I'm not sure how to rewrite it.

  • Well, it should be rewritten, unless it is stated further on that he modified it. Admiral J. Nebulax 12:35, 10 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Ship Image

Good call on putting Slave 1 back in at the bottom. It's good to have to show the different paint scheme. If I find a better image (space scene) I may replace it though. I should have put it at the bottom myself.--DannyBoy7783 23:27, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)

  • It is an interesting image. Admiral J. Nebulax 23:34, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)
    • I added the landing image. I don't know if it should really stay though. You guys can decide. Also, it might not be conforming to the layout.--DannyBoy7783 23:57, 3 Jan 2006 (UTC)
      • Well, could you somehow use just the third image in that picture instead of all three? Admiral J. Nebulax 00:03, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
      • . I can, I'll upload it for you and you can decide which you like more. I'm good either way.--DannyBoy7783 02:05, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)

left I found the second image at the Firespray-class starship page. It looks like Boba's paint scheme but it's in the asteroid belt around geonosis....what do you think? leftI think we should use this if we can it is a great picture. The first picture on the page is a little grainy but I really like the second image we have. Thoughts?--DannyBoy7783 08:38, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)

    • I think the landing image should be replaced. And the "Firespray on Geonosis" is great, but I don't like the way has the Boba paint scheme yet is around Geonosis. --Master Starkeiller 11:34, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
      • What if I just give it a black background instead? I can easily remove the geonosis background.--DannyBoy7783 18:33, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
        • Unfortunately, that would then qualify as a fan-edited image, which isn't allowed here - and which is the same problem we have with the Geonosis image itself. Oh, and also, note the fact that Boba removed the repeating blasters Jango uses against Obi-Wan; the lasers in that image are being fired from cannons that aren't there. It's basically an image of the Jango-era Slave I replaced with an image of Boba-era, keeping both background and effects. In other words, fan-edited - Kwenn 18:34, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
          • Exactly. But I like the first image that is here. Admiral J. Nebulax 20:29, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
            • Yeah, that's good. But since we have this image of the landed Slave I, do we really need the 'landing cycle' image? IMO, it makes the page look messy - Kwenn 20:30, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
              • I agree. We don't need it. Admiral J. Nebulax 20:37, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
                • I think we shouldn't use the pic I put on, b/c it's fan-edited, but the pic next to "Boba's Slave I" should be changed I think the quality isn't all that good. Can anyone get a pick if Slave I from ESB at the part where the Garabge is released and he chases Solo to Bespin--GMo 02:15, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

http://www.starwars.com/databank/starship/slavei/img/movie_bg.jpg Like this one from the SW Databank --GMo 02:22, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

TPM Deleted Scene?

Which deleted scene is that? I don't recall Slave I in any scene in TPM, deleted or otherwise - Kwenn 12:55, 13 Jan 2006 (UTC)

The scene where Qui-Gon and Anakin are leaving Mos Espa. After Qui-Gon chops down the probe droid and he and Anakin head for their ship, the camera pans up to reveal the construction of what is either the Slave I or a similar ship. Adamwankenobi 12:58, 13 Jan 2006 (UTC)
  • Well it doesn't look anything like Slave I to me: Kwenn 19:13, 13 Jan 2006 (UTC)
    • No, Kwenn is right. And it surely isn't the Slave I or any other Firespray-ships since Jango stole his Slave and blew the other four up around this time (32 BBY). ----Inmobilus 19:29, 13 Jan 2006 (UTC)

  • I can see why there was confusion, though. Admiral J. Nebulax 20:56, 13 Jan 2006 (UTC)

XBOX live expansion???

Is the Slave 1 in the X-box expansion for BF2??? Master Secura

  • Well, someone kept putting it back in before. Admiral J. Nebulax 20:57, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
    • I haven't heard that but it's always possible. Though I personally doubt it. A quick google search didn't give any meaningful results on it. Besides, all the vehicles in the game belong to one side or the other. Slave 1 is sort of a third party vehicle because Jango and Boba were hired not a part of their respective factions (CIS, Empire).--DannyBoy7783 23:43, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
      • I'm going to remove it until a source is presented. Admiral J. Nebulax 00:15, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
        • No it's not, unless I haven't found it. -- Cato Neimoidia 14:17, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
          • I doubted it anyway. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 14:49, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Anyone Know why it was called slave I?

  • Why would they George LUcas name this ship Slave I I mean did Jango Fett predict the future that their would be a Slave II, III, and IV?
    • First of all, I don't know. Second of all, Jango Fett can't see the future. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20px 00:23, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
      • Read "The Bounty Hunter Wars" series. The 2nd book is called "Slave Ship" and describes a lot about how Slave 1 is just a tool for Boba Fett's use. How he has no sentimental attatchment for it, other than its use as his own badass personal craft. -Eon Kaaz 15:39, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
        • It's possible that "One" simply designates the one and only of its kind (after Jango blew up all the other Firespray class vessels at Oovo IV) Just a thought. --Redemption 15:56, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
          • I think the "Slave" part is because as we know... Jango was a slave, the "1" part could be the ship's uniqueness , but the whole name is probably just named in Jango's own likeness.

Roz: "Hey, did you name that new ship of yours yet?"

Jango: "She's called Slave 1."

Roz: "Has kind of a ruthless ring to it, it fits your personality."

Shield configuration

  • Why are we assuming that Jango's shield config was different than Boba's? Cutch 23:18, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
    • I believe that it came from a post-Jango ownership source; therefore, it's possible that Boba could have changed that as well. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 23:19, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
      • Then everything under the ship stats should read "Under Boba" and "Under Jango", including engines. Cutch 04:43, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Jango and Boba Ship Layout

  • Can we get a picture of the layout of Slave 1? Like from the "Incredible Cross-Sections" books? But more than that, can we get both configurations for Jango's and Boba's own layouts? It would tell a lot about not only the ship, but also about the owners' use. I just think it would be interesting.-Eon Kaaz 15:44, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
    • These are the only ones I could find, if someone wanted to save them on the site and load them up. Sadriel Fett (Mando'a) 04:49, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

      • nice work. thanks. do you have one for jango's layout?
        • No, these are the only ones I could find. Sadriel Fett (Mando'a) 04:44, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
          • alright. ill try to get the episode 2 cross sections book. i saw it in there somewhere...
  • In Legacy of the Force Bloodlines Boba says the only original part of Slave 1 that was the seat so it is a good guess that the ship has changed quite a bit I'll get a quote soon seeing as I don't have the book on hand.(apologies for the poor edit I'm getting used to the system)Thawn

I've uploaded two versions of the Slave 1 cutaway from the Attack of the Clones Visual Dictionary if anyone's interested in using them. It's Jango's layout, obviously.--The Great and Grand Count Mall! 21:12, October 2, 2010 (UTC)

Improvement drive idea

I made changes to the page, but I need you to approve them here before I copy them to the main page. Thank you! -- Snoop 12:59, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Young Boba Fett series references

In response to Redemptions' edit comment "Some how, I doubt that this exists anywhere but I tried to make some sense of it until someone can fix it properly", this actually takes place in the young Boba Fett series of books. Just in case someone decides to delete it or something. I noticed the paragraph was kind of jacked up, too. Just been too busy to mess around with much of anything lately. Thanks for tidying it up, dude. Later. Sadriel Fett (Mando'a) 04:47, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Stabilization system

Wasn't the stabilization system that kept the cockpit oriented "up" added by Boba? Slave I didn't appear to have it when it was owned by Jango--Darth OblivionComlink30px 04:16, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

  • It did. The seats face towards the boarding ramp when landed. They shift 90 degrees when in flight.--207.166.3.62 00:44, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Captured by the New Republic

  • I remember reading in several sources that Slave I was impounded by New Republic Authorities after he abandoned the ship (something to do with Bossk and false presence of a bomb on the Slave I). Once more is found, I think this tidbit should be added to this article.
  • It's from the Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy by K.W. Jeter. Iirc these books also say Slave I was custom-built for Boba Fett by KDY.

Picture

This is just what I think, but the pic in the infobox should be changed to a picture of the front view of the vehicle. User:BobafettH23/Sig.

I agree. Maybe even one from the movie? -Milo Fett[Comlink] 21:58, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Cloaking Device?

The Mentis Qinx page says Slave I had a cloaking device installed at some point, yet there is no mention of this rather important detail on the Slave I page. I don't own the source, but someone who does should see if any additional detail is available, since this is the sort of thing that might mess up some continuity somewhere. Sionay 22:01, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

the Cloaking device page also states: "Boba Fett also had one, which had been added onto Slave I by Mentis Qinx, a dockyard owner on Tatooine.", i agree that this should be mentioned somewhere Swordsquirrel 21:53, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

General Riekkan Quote

Slave I wasn't in Rogue Squadron, at least not the first one. Someone should go find out whether that's from II or III Lalala la 03:58, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Seismic charges in Boba's config

Under armament in the infobox, it only lists seismic charges for the Slave I under Jango's config. Should that not also be under Boba's given that he can use them in Empire of War? --OuroborosCobra 03:00, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Been almost a month and no objection, I am adding it. --OuroborosCobra 03:43, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

A pic out of place

In the section for Boba Fett's Slave I The first picture is of Jango's slave I over Geonosis; That is obviously out of place and should be moved. It is a good pic though and should not be deleted.

toy?

What's the canon status of toys? I have a Slave I toy ship that reveals 4 shootable plastic lasers in the front under the cockpit. Since it's not contradicted by anything else, i'm going to add it in.

Question

I recently got Incredible cross Sections and it seems that Boba is one laying on his back when he pilots it and that the ship flies on it's side. Does this mean the prisoners are laying upside down in a regular gravity field or does the ship just use it's artificial gravity all the time for comfort sake? Thoggnee 03:03, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

Hyperdrive

I was reading Sacrifice recently, and it says Boba has modified Slave 1 to a 0.7 hyperdrive, but in the hyperdrive section it says the Slave 1 has a class 1.0 hyperdrive Mand'alor Fett II 19:40, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

Clone Wars

Now that Slave I has aired in a Clone Wars show, shouldn't a section be added about the Clone Wars, as well as an image, perhaps? Mand'alor Fett II 19:40, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

Slave I in CTFUII (not the TFU USE)

TFUII is indeed canon and is not the TFU Ultimate Sith edition apocrypha, but is instead a continuation of the main protagonist in The Force Unleashed, Galen Marek. The character is told that he is a clone of Starkiller, but it is not known if that is the case or not, and is pursued by Boba Fett to bring him back to Vader. The official site of CTFUII si found here http://www.lucasarts.com/games/theforceunleashed2/game/index.html?t=en_US and includes videos of Slave I in the videos section.
