Er, "Sidereal Period" is a fancy astronomical term for "year". I don't know what this means about the accuracy of this article, or how we should handle it in a BTS. —Silly Dan (talk) 01:52, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

Chrono

According to astronomy, sidereal is the a measurement of time in relation to a star (a year). In addition, chrono- is a prefix referring to "time". As a result, the Chrono "Sentient of the Sidereal" award is a direct reference to the Time "Person of the Year" award. Due to this, the Chrono "Sentient of the Sidereal" award most likely doesn't have any relationship to the Sidereal Period. As a result, I suggesting that the Chrono reference be removed from the Sidereal Period article. Name needs changing, may be conjectural anyway

I looked up the exact quotes in The Constancia Affair and The Kashyyyk Depths which are the only canon source for this period I know of:

It seems to me that the correct title for this article is "Sidereal Era", not "Sidereal Period". I also think the article may need a "conjectural title" tag, as the first passage might translate to either "Year 5670 in the Sidereal Era" or "Year 5670 or AS-5670 in whatever calendar Mnemos uses in her files." —Silly Dan (talk) 01:58, June 11, 2010 (UTC)
