- 1) Probably never. 2) I don't know if "upgraded" is the correct word, but he had a piloted one, as opposed to an automated one. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- As you've been told before, discussion pages aren't simply here to hold random discussions about the subject; they're to discuss the article in relation to the subject, with points being added if and when they occur. It's not an ongoing discussion - \\Captain Kwenn// — Ahoy! 21:28, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Name
A commando in Labyrinth of Evil gives this ship's full designation: "Haor Chall Engineering Sheathipede-class transport shuttle", and the Databank also states it is a "transport shuttle". Should we incorporate that into the name? - \\Captain Kwenn// — Ahoy! 11:51, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
hmm,maybe we should—User:troyb
- Definitely. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Speculation
As these vehicles are said to resemble soldier beetles, would the name Sheathipede indicate the existence of another insect, perhaps a "sheathipede"? I have not heard of this word before in any other context. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:43, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- It seems very likely. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

New Essential Guide Source
I have the New Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, but I don't remember the Sheathipede-class transport shuttle in the book. Yet it is sources here. One of the images of the shuttle does look like it was from the book. Can someone explain this to me? Cyfiero 06:01, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Question Does anyone how many passengers it could hold besides the crew? Is there any source maybe?
TFU Bail Organa
in tfu wii version bail organa uses one of these should this be under affiliation ?
Stretched Sheathipede
The shuttle in The Citadel appears to be significantly longer than the usual ones. Long-range cargo variant, maybe? 24.214.230.66 01:40, February 19, 2011 (UTC)
2.4 Added sources/appearances
Cloak of Deception
There's an excerpt in Cloak of Deception by James Luceno that suggests this ship probably made an over-looked appearance: "Behind them, squatting on the duracrete, was the shuttle that had carried them to the surface, an organic-looking ship, with a quartet of clawed and segmented landing gear, a pair of generator vents that resembled eyespots, and a rear deflector shield assembly that rose from the ship's flat body like a raised tail." Given that "them" is Nute Gunray and Lott Dod (and the matching physical description), I think it stands to reason that this ship is a Sheathipede-class transport. If there are no objections, I'll probably add it to the list of appearances, perhaps with a "(possible appearance)" tag.Xanofar (talk) 00:10, February 9, 2016 (UTC)
