Copyvio
This is copied directly from the Star Wars Databank. I can't rewrite it myself, because I've never heard of Blackhole troopers until now. Aidje 11:16, 4 Apr 2005 (EDT)
- Good thing I recreated that copyvio, eh? I wouldn't know how to reword it myself. We need to find an English nut. -- Riffsyphon1024 19:50, 4 Apr 2005 (EDT)
- I suppose I could throw together a rewording of the Databank entry, even if I don't know anything about them other than what's there (English isn't a problem for me, though I wouldn't call myself a nut since that would imply that I actually liked the subject). It probably won't be much more than a stub, though. I'll see what I can do. Aidje 21:36, 4 Apr 2005 (EDT)
- I just threw together a new non-copyvio stub. It doesn't mention anything about the dispersion of the Blackhole troopers, though; I couldn't figure out how to reword that without knowing anything else about them. I went ahead and posted it to the article since, as far as I know, we don't actually have a copyvio process yet. -- Aidje 00:10, 5 Apr 2005 (EDT)

Shouldn't this be under Blackhole stormtrooper? --Imp 22:28, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Blackhole stormtroopers under Jax and Carvius
The Databank entry explicitly identifies Jax' guards as Blackhole stormtroopers, so I've edited accordingly. Carvius' guards, on the other hand, wear red-and-black non-stormtrooper armour, IIRC; unless there's a reason, I've removed the reference to them. --McEwok 03:44, 16 Nov 2005 (UTC)

There should be an image. Just so you know there's one on starwars.com if you want to use it.--Jack colton

Blackhole stormtrooper vs. Shadow stormtrooper
- It seems to me that the Databank title is the only place these troopers are referred to as Blackhole stormtroopers. Shadow stormtrooper is what we see in other sources, in all three toy models, and everywhere else on the website these are referenced. Since Hasbro and other toymakers have to run designs and names across Lucasfilm and "shadow stormtrooper" is what they are continually coming up with, it would seem to imply that this is the canonically correct name. In addition, there are too many instances to count of the Databank name being shortened, dated, or otherwise not completely correct. Where does the Databank stand in terms of canonicity relative to more recent licensed products, and if above them, at what point does the prevalence of another name outweigh this, if ever? --Thetoastman 06:22, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- This should be moved to shadow stormtrooper, as they weren't exclusively used by Blackhole anyway. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Role
Is there any information pertaining to what makes these any different from the regular stormtroopers? -MPK 16:54, 28 April 2008 (UTC)They are elite stormtroopers who specialize in black ops and recon. They also gather info for the emporer
Armor
It seems to me that the Shadowtroopers armor is similar to the armor that the Emperor's Shadow Guard wears, in that it is a reversal of a stormtroopers armor. --Allurade Dendra 20:23, 6 April 2009 (UTC) there armor alows them to cloak themselves
Shadow Stormtrooper vs. Shadow Trooper/Copyright Violation
The Shadow/Blackhole Stormtroopers are not the same as the Shadow Troopers seen in The Force Unleashed. Please fix.
- Also, most of the text on this page has been lifted directly from The Force Unleashed Databank and refers to Shadow Troopers not Blackhole stormtroopers. 58.164.143.57 02:28, March 13, 2014 (UTC)
Canon?
In this poster for the upcoming rebels [1] there is what apears to be a shadow trooper, should we make a canon artical? Gopher dude 11 (talk)
- Not yet. We don't yet know what that trooper on the poster is supposed to be, or what it's called. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 18:18, June 26, 2014 (UTC)
- Shadow stormtroopers appear in a trailer for Star Wars Battlefront and are mentioned in leaked code. Is that canon enough? Reddyredcp (talk) 01:16, October 12, 2015 (UTC)
