Move Back
Xilentshadow900, why else would this page be at Second Battle of Coruscant if it was not known as the SECOND Battle of Coruscant? Therefore, I request that this be moved back to Second Battle of Coruscant (Clone Wars) now. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 19:33, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- I made the Second battle of coruscant page a redirect for easier linkage. I want to see official sources that say its called the SECOND battle of coruscant before it's moved. The first battle, if you could call it that, was not a battle, and isn't known as a battle. Xilentshadow900 19:44, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Hmm, I wonder, let me think, how could the first one NOT be a battle if it involves fighting between clones vs. battle droids on Coruscant? Cmdr. J. Nebulax 19:48, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- It was NOT a battle between clones and battle droids, but rather a slaughter of droids by anakin skywalker. How much detail do you think they would put in a gameboy game? Xilentshadow900 19:54, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- It does involves clone troopers as well as other Jedi, Dark Jedi, Dooku, battle droids, and Anakin Skywalker. That's all the proof you need. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 20:01, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- It Involves them in the way that Anakin defeated all the bad guys and chased off count dooku, and after that, yoda came with reinforcements. NOT a battle. Xilentshadow900 20:03, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- It was a battle. Next, you'll be saying that this battle was the Second Invasion of Coruscant. In a way, ALL invasions are in fact battles if the side being invaded strikes back. Therefore, Invasion of Coruscant: First Battle of Coruscant (Clone Wars). This battle: Second Battle of Coruscant (Clone Wars). Cmdr. J. Nebulax 20:07, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- It was not a battle. If it were, we could consider every small fight in Star Wars a battle. And as long as official sources are calling this one The Battle of coruscant, then it should be kept that way. Xilentshadow900 20:10, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Okay, let me see... Why else would whoever created this article have originally called it the SECOND Battle of Coruscant, Xilentshadow900? Hmm, maybe because THERE WAS ALREADY A BATTLE OF CORUSCANT PRIOR TO THIS!!! If you keep doing this, I'll just keep restoring the Second Battle of Coruscant (Clone Wars) page. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 20:12, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Who cares what the person who made this page called it? That's wrong. Xilentshadow900 20:14, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Wrong again. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 20:15, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- You continue to move against the Canon. This is ridiculous. YOU are ridiculous.Xilentshadow900 20:19, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Fine, I'll make you a deal: Leave it here, but allow me to put "(sometimes referred to as the Second Battle of Coruscant)" right after the beginning of the article. Also, stop saying I'm ridiculous. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 20:22, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Alright. That makes sense. But what about the operations with the clone commandos on coruscant? Shouldn't they be battles too? What is this, the fiftybillionth battle of coruscant?Xilentshadow900 20:24, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Let's just forget about those smaller campaigns. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 20:27, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- This really should be moved back, as we're using a specific naming convention for battles here. They are all named "Battle of..." and numbered. That's why we have Battle of Ohma D'un not Defense of Naboo QuentinGeorge 20:56, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- It shouldn't be moved back, considering all the other conflicts on coruscant before this battle. The other ones can hardly be considered battles compared to this. Xilentshadow900 21:06, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- It's no smaller than the Battle of Ohma-D'un, now is it? I'm not sure why you have such opposition to this. It's the way we are organising battles here. QuentinGeorge 21:08, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- There are a lot of different battles across the clone wars, but some are simply Jedi Missions and Jedi Actions. I don't think we should count them as battles, but as "missions". If we do count every other battle on coruscant during the clone wars, this would no longer be the second one. Xilentshadow900 21:15, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Well, I would prefer it the way it was (as the Second Battle of Coruscant (Clone Wars), but we don't want to start another edit war, which is why I came up with a compromise. Perhaps, if we get some of the long-time moderators here, then it can be solved. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 21:26, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)

- Move it back, I say. Kuralyov 21:41, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Then, Xilentshadow, it looks like it's three against one. I agree, let's move this back to the original page and delete this page. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 23:11, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Bad idea mates. The other one is NOT a battle! If that is, the republic commando activity on Coruscant also gets to be called battles. Or the Jedi Temple Raid. Nope, this should stay the way it is. Xilentshadow900 23:31, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Xilentshadow, you're outnumbered. Plus, now you seem to be getting a little upset over the whole "move it back" idea. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 23:35, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)

- Um, I don't want to add fuel to the fire, but CUSWE described this battle as the First Battle of Coruscant, though the Second Battle was the Fall of Coruscant. My question is, who first described it as the Second Battle of Coruscant? -- SFH 23:43, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- It was they. They named it the second battle. Xilentshadow900 23:44, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Well, the CUSWE labels battles differently from here (here it's numerical for each war; there it's numerical altogether). Plus, as you pointed out, they only have two battles for Coruscant, when it's clear that there were many others. Kuralyov 23:46, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- All right. but there is one thing a would like to point out. In Labyrinth of Evil, Coruscanti were all acting horrified that the battle was taking place. Now that is understandable, but they were acting like it was the first time a enemy force had arrived in the System in generations. "After three years, how had it come to this?" was what they were all asking. Wouldn't they have thought back to the inflitration? Wouldn't Palpatine had used the first battle to increase his powers, or silently paint the Jedi in a bad light? -- SFH 23:51, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- That's exactly the point I'm trying to make. This one is actually a battle, while the other events are more like terrorist activity. Imagine america was bombed by enemy forces, and we had a huge battle in the air. That's a battle. Having somebody set us up the bomb in a subway, then get warded off by the cops can't really be called a battle compared to the former. I say the article stays this way.Xilentshadow900 01:59, 25 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- A battle is defined as a fight, hostile encounter, or engagement between opposing forces. In this case both sides would be fighting each other. It would not matter if Anakin killed everyone on the opposite side if they were fighting or shooting at him, however in the case of the Mission to Mustafar, that was a massacre, because the Separatists did not really fight back as one force. Also there can be more than one Second Battle of... as long as the war that the particular one is in is noted. See also Second Battle of Coruscant (Great Sith War). -- Riffsyphon1024 03:02, 25 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Which is why, as I had stated before, this page should be moved back. Xilentshadow, this is pointless. It should be moved back. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 20:33, 25 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- If that is so, then we should put all other battles of coruscant along with this, so it would no longer be the second. Xilentshadow900 20:36, 25 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Well, it's finally back to the way it SHOULD be, and should have always been. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 17:15, 26 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Decision
Overwhelming decision is to move back, and I'm doing so. QuentinGeorge 11:49, 26 Oct 2005 (UTC)
