Copyvio
Can we get an update on the copyvio? --SparqMan 04:10, 11 May 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, why was this tagged as copyvio?--Eion 06:33, 11 May 2005 (UTC)
- I tagged it as copyvio because it was plagiarizing the Databank. We have it here because Riffsyphon copied it from Wikipedia, not knowing that it was copyvio. As for the lack of a process, I don't know anything about that. – Aidje talk 14:37, 11 May 2005 (UTC)
- Er...so what's this page doing? --Fade 09:46, 26 May 2005 (UTC)

Doomed
Is a doomed really necessary? It certainly needs attention, but is it really vital? -- SFH 04:46, 19 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- I'd say no. – Aidje talk 05:30, 19 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- I agree. Cmdr. J. Nebulax 19:22, 19 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Quotes
- I simply hate the quotes. Why is everything on stormtooper armor and scout troopers making fun of them? It looks stupid on the page, and I'd rather have less and better quotes, than more and ones that don't illustrate anything but the rebel's cocky, corny jokes. Aren't they the non-canon, during BFII kind, too?--Vladius Magnum]
- Find a better quote and we'll add it. But I don't think many exist, which is why we have these. And yes, both are canon - \\Captain Kwenn// — Ahoy! 18:26, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- And what ever happened to keeping opinions off of talk pages? Hmm? Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

I'm sorry. It just seems like there are no good quotes on Imperial people other than making fun of them.Vladius Magnum

I got rid of that obnoxious quote at the top of the page, who replaced it? Xl The Jackal lX 00:48, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- I did. The other one had much less to say about the subject. Graestan
(This party's over) 04:52, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- The one now has nothing to say about the subject. At least the other one was a real quote, and not some dumb joke. Xl The Jackal lX 11:05, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Page layout
Jack Nebulax seems to think that only his opinion counts when it comes to page editing. Case in point, the last few edits between he and I for this article. The way he wants it, the last image on the page sticks out below the last of the text on the page. I think this looks terrible. The way I had it (see previous edit) was to have the last two images one on top of the other so both images fit within the page. Would other Wookieepedians please voice your opinion about this here? I'd like to get both admin and non-admin opinions. Thanks - JMAS 14:46, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Don't make it seem like I'm the bad guy in this, JMAS. You seem to think that only your opinion counts as well. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- No, actually, I don't. There have been many edits people have made, ones that change or counter ones I've made, and I don't have a problem with it. I'll try to look at it from their viewpoint, or I'll get other people to look at it and will either agree with the change, or acquiesce and let it be. And no, I don't think you are a bad guy. I do think often times you are stubborn and unwilling to compromise to the point of it being obnoxious. - JMAS 15:03, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- I've made changes to the article. Let's see if my compromise works (so much for "unwilling to compromise"). Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

BFII...
In Battlefront II, scout troopers seem to be used as snipers. Does this mean that there was some sort of extra division of sniper scouts, or were all of them trained as snipers? Unit 8311 20:36, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- It's game mechanics. Nothing else. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- Who says they weren't snipers? We never see them in a huge battle.
- There hasn't been a single source saying that they were snipers. So they weren't. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

- A sniper takes a couple shots at Princess Leia in Return of the Jedi when she's lost on the forest moon.
- In TFUII they are snipers too. TFUII is canon, therefore, scout troopers are snipers.--AoBzealot0812 (talk) 21:22, June 26, 2012 (UTC)

Past tense?
Why is this article or at leas the intro written in past tense? —Unsigned comment by 75.185.40.222 (talk • contribs)
- Because it's policy to have it written in past tense. —Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision)

Main Picture
The main picture of the trooper blends into the white background making the trooper difficult to see. I adjusted the brightness/contrast of [[:File:Scouttrooper22.jpg]] to make [[:File:Scouttrooperfullbody.jpg]], which shows the trooper's form better. Would it be alright if I switched them out? Nex Terren 20:05, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- My apologizes, I don't understand how wiki code works. Can anyone fix the links in the previous comment? Nex Terren 20:08, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- Fixed. Greyman(Paratus) 20:09, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- I would have to disagree. I think the duplicate image is not that good and there is a distinctive black border around the troopers. - JMAS 20:17, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks Greyman for fixing the link. And JMAS? If I changed the black border to a light gray, so one could still make out the trooper, would that be good? Nex Terren 20:26, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- It's not the color of the border. Having a border around the edge of the trooper at all doesn't look good. You're dealing with a white armored trooper on a white background. But I don't have any problem seeing the trooper as is. - JMAS 20:36, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

Scout trooper variants
I think we should add in a section on the various scout trooper variants, such as swamp troopers, sea troopers and storm commandos --Tom rules 11:05, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
- Storm commandos and Aquatic assault stormtroopers have armor that resembles those worn by Scout troopers but they are not Scout troopers. They are a specialized branch with the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps. This may be the case with Swamp troopers as well. Rexas 05:45, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Egg Man?
"They were sometimes referred to as egg man by Rebel troopers."
I'm pretty sure egg-man was just a general term for a stormtrooper or was just a referance to the bald head under the helmet. --JuiceStain Rock on!

Scout troopers at the Battle of Hoth
Ive read the article and unless i'm mistaken theres no metion of the Scout troopers operating Speeder Bikes during the Battle of Hoth. --The Mercenary 73 (talk) 20:46, December 13, 2012 (UTC)
- "When deployed to particular environments like the frozen worlds of Hoth or Rhen Var, scout troopers were equipped with a variant of the standard snowtrooper armor, which included a slightly modified scout trooper helmet with polarized snow goggles. Further differences included extra joint armor, a special backpack that could be plugged directly into the speeder bike's heating systems in order to keep the armor's wearer warm, and the lack of a kama." Got ya covered! NaruHina Talk
21:00, December 13, 2012 (UTC) - In the Incredible Cross Sections under AT-AT there is an inset on speeder bikes. The image it shows shows a speeder bike on what is likely to be Hoth. Fe Nite (talk) 00:56, December 14, 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah i was thinking the picture from Incredible Cross Sections, but i don't have a scanner. Is there already a picture loaded on the site so it could be added? --The Mercenary 73 (talk) 20:50, December 16, 2012 (UTC)
