Page merge

For those wondering why "Mission to Jabba the Hutt's palace (Galactic Civil War)" and "Battle of the Great Pit of Carkoon/Canon" were merged into this one page, here's why. This followed a conversation on IRC about whether there was a need for separate pages. We modeled the original page structure off of Legends, which we often do, but in looking back at it, it didn't seem like the most appropriate way to go for canon. For Legends, you could argue that it makes sense to have separate pages. For example, the mission page for Legends includes information like Mara Jade's mission to kill Luke Skywalker at the behest of the Emperor. That doesn't exist in canon. It's all one linear event in canon, without dueling allegiances or objectives and what not. The event is, on the whole, about the rescue of Han Solo, so we went with a page name to reflect. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 21:35, February 11, 2015 (UTC)

  • With the release of Bounty Hunters 42 and the rest of War of the Bounty Hunters/Dark Droids, I think we could reopen this discussion. There is now enough content to justify making the "rescue of Han Solo" a campaign, with at least the Assault on Jabba's Palace, Death Match on Tatooine, Skywalker and company's mission to Jabba's Palace, and the Battle of the Great Pit all incidents of the overall campaign Editoronthewiki (talk) 02:38, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Do we have any other opinions? Editoronthewiki (talk) 23:00, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
      • The page is starting to get a bit long. As you mentioned in your first response, since the page was merged, there has been enough ancillary material released to where there is now a lot more information on the subject matter. And personally, I do agree that the Rebel's infiltration of Jabba's Palace and the Battle of the Great Pit are probably two separate events in the same conflict. Maybe it's worth bringing it up in the Senate Hall.Nelvaan7 (talk) 12:47, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

Boba Fett

Would Boba Fett be listed as a casualty or not? It seems likely that he died, but hints have also been dropped that he may be alive. I was planning to put 'Boba Fett(?)'. D9328 (talk) 14:46, July 13, 2016 (UTC)d9328D9328 (talk) 14:46, July 13, 2016 (UTC)

  • Easier to not include Boba in the casualties until we know for sure what his ultimate fate is --Lewisr (talk) 16:14, July 13, 2016 (UTC)
