Is there a reference for the Republic Army and Navy being absorbed into the Army of Light? The New Essential Chronology doesn't seem to support this idea. All it says is that the Republic's military had been whittled down by the Sith during the war. My interpretation is that the Republic military had been mostly devestated by the Sith, and that the Army of Light was raised later, but that's just me. - Darth Bane: Path of Destruction refers to the Army of Light as a new Jedi Order force raised by Hoth, which makes its first appearance at the Third Battle of Ruusan, and thus fought only in the final two years on Ruusan. Before that, he'd been a Jedi Master and a General in the Republic military. The Jedi-led Republic military isn't the same as the Army of Light, which is a Jedi army. --McEwok 14:04, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

Where is the source for the below statement?
The Sith conquered 2/3 of the Republic's territory, save the Core Worlds and part of the Colonies.

Canon equivalent?
At the beginning of the 4th chapter of Tarkin, one can read the following sentence: "At that time, the galaxy’s dark age had ended, the Sith had been defeated and driven into hiding, and a true republic had emerged from the ashes." Based on that, shouldn't there be a canon article at "galaxy’s dark age?" --Lelal Mekha
