Isn't this the same as the First Battle of Yavin 4? -LtNOWIS 19:48, 25 Nov 2005 (UTC)
- No, it isn't. The FBOY4 was when the Imperials forced the rebels away. The MTY was when the Empire confirmed Rebel prescence just before the Battle of Yavin. Bly1993.
Name
- "Battle of Yavin IV" will be too easily mized up wth the Battle of Yavin. The name of the skirmish is Mission to Yavin IV.

- Wait...isn't this a "mission" since it was an order for forces to attack another base? And also, I kinda agree with the first guy. There's already the Battle of Yavin, right? Wolfdog 02:18, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
- The Battle of Hoth was also an order for forces to attack another base, but it was indisputably a battle. I don't know what the official rule of terminology is, but in my mind a "Battle" involves two or more major forces fighting against each other, and it is a battle regardless whether one or more of the forces has a specific objective (or mission) in mind beforehand. I picture a "Mission" as involving an individual or small squad trying to accomplish a specific objective, sometimes against a major fighting force. With this mindset, the activities of Han Solo's squad on Endor (prior to the Ewok tribe's involvement) would have been a "Mission", except that it was part of the larger fleet battle. This article involves <intimidating Palpy voice> an entire legion </intimidating Palpy voice> of stormtroopers being deployed to take over the surface. After which, apparently, all of the stormtroopers had to desert their foothold so they could return to the Death Star to... defend it? Is that what the article actually says? The stormtroopers all had to go back to the Death Star so they could be blown up? And how exactly is it that the Rebels are so firmly entrenched on Yavin IV during A New Hope if they had all just been decimated by an Imperial legion that suddenly decided to leave? Are we sure this battle's canon? -BaronGrackle 21:54, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

They just killed all the Rebels on that part of the planet. There were thousands of Rebels, yet you only kill 200 in that level.
"Trivia"
Is the content in the Trivia section canon, or just game info? --SparqMan 23:59, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
Canon?
Can this really be considered canon? It appeared in SWB's Historical Campaign, but I was not aware that was canon. I alway assumed this particularlevel was added because they needed to make use of all the maps, and that particular point in the game was te most relevent place.--Matt 20 1 10:43, December 6, 2009 (UTC)
