Grand Admiral

Based on his uniform and rank, I think he might be a Grand Admiral for the new Canon. The only other Imperial officers who wear white uniforms are officers of the Imperial Security Bureau in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope like Colonel Wullf Yularen.--Professor Ambrius (talk) 19:29, April 10, 2016 (UTC)

Probably not legit. http://www.hitfix.com/harpy/213-days-until-star-wars-jackpot-a-huge-rogue-one-cache-of-information-just-hit-the-internet --asddddd6 (talk) 23:38, May 17, 2016 (UTC)

Rank

To Dr. Porter I think that it would be simpler to remove the sentence about his rank plaque, as while you are right that the we don't know the rank for director, it could mean something else. Look at Aggadeen, who was an overseer, but had the rank plaque of an admiral. I propose that we remove the sentence about the rank plaque until we have more info. Tommy-Macaroni (talk) 10:32, June 6, 2016 (UTC)

  • I can never stress enough how a rank is not a position and vice versa. We don't know that "Directo" is a rank, in fact, it's more likely a position. --LelalMekha (talk) 10:54, June 6, 2016 (UTC)
    • Thats fair enough, but we shouldn't assume that he is an admiral, especially now we know that he is a Director, even though director may well be a position. Tommy-Macaroni (talk) 10:59, June 6, 2016 (UTC)
  • He only has two code cylinders. A admiral has 4. --Jtmk1 (talk) 03:30, October 1, 2017 (UTC)
    • It was confirmed on the Rogue One Visual guidethat his rank is equivalent to that of an admiral. Yo.-User:Fan26 (Talk) 03:39, October 1, 2017 (UTC)
      • Can you give me a link to that book.--Jtmk1 (talk) 15:41, October 1, 2017 (UTC)

Full Name

Since when did we start putting the Full name for characters? Jkirk8907 (talk) 16:28, January 5, 2017 (UTC)

Demotion

  • Hello, sorry if this is a stupid question, but are we sure that Krennic was actually demoted in Catalyst? Having just finished the book, it seemed a little ambiguous to me. During the two pages the scene takes place, Mas Amedda seems to consider some of the points that Krennic makes, and the conversation ends with Amedda pausing then saying "Finish what you started, Commander". I know that Lieutenant Commanders can be referred to as "Commander", but it didn't seem clear as to me as to whether Krennic was actually demoted or if Amedda was persuaded to let him keep his rank. Again, sorry if I'm missing something obvious here. Shockwave42 (talk) 12:14, January 6, 2017 (UTC)

Look I so old?

Comparing Krennic in the prologue and the present day of the movie, why does he look so old in the past and younger in the present?

  • Ben Mendelsohn hasn't yet discovered the fountain of youth. (It's the same actors playing in a prologue fourteen years apart from the main film plotline, so the characters are bound to look older than they are intended in the prologue scenes). No biggie, though. –Nivlacanator(talk) 09:36, January 11, 2017 (UTC)
    • It takes place in 14 BBY. --JS-4422 09:37, January 11, 2017 (UTC)

Deducing the flaw?

Hi. The section detailing his death stated that in his final moments, he deduced that the flaw that Erso alluded to immediately prior was the Thermal Exhaust Port, and sourced Rogue One as where it came from. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I don't recall it even being implied that he deduced the weak point her father inserted into the superweapon, at least, not the film itself. Can someone tell me WHERE this was stated, like the novelization, and possibly correct the source? Weedle McHairybug (talk) 13:09, May 2, 2017 (UTC)

  • It's in the novel, will correct it now! --Lewisr (talk) 13:11, May 2, 2017 (UTC)

Lost Stars

Hi, I was looking at the list of appearances and noticed that Krennic was first (sorta) mentioned in Lost Stars? I was wondering if this was true and what the context of his mention was. Forgive me as it's been awhile since I've read LS. -Jabot164 (talk) 05:28, Sept 6, 2017 (UTC)

I think it may be this:
"...or so they had all believed until recently, when the rebels had struck at them from a hidden base. To the undying shame of whatever complacent Imperial officials were responsible, the rebels had actually won the engagement. Not only did the Empire have to bear that incomprehensible defeat, but it also had lost vital intelligence information."

Leia,Princess of Alderaan

I noticed that we added in the appearances section the book Leia, Princess of Alderaan, but in no place shows that the Director they're talking is Krennic. Or there's just 1 director on the Empire?--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 04:48, September 16, 2017 (UTC)

  • They never mention Krennic, neither confirmation is him, could be any director--201.142.240.228 06:33, September 16, 2017 (UTC)
    • Same thing as with R2-D2. This is obviously Krennic, but the book has no clear indication in the text. --С уважением, Starit (обс) 07:23, September 16, 2017 (UTC)
      • Then I guess, we should remove until a better confirmation.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 07:35, September 16, 2017 (UTC)

Image

I do not believe the picture of Director Krennic was right. The picture did not capture his whole body and it did not have a white background. Tell me if you want it back. --Jtmk1 (talk) 03:33, October 1, 2017 (UTC)

  • If I'm understanding it correctly, headshots are preferred in infoboxes --Lewisr (talk) 03:42, October 1, 2017 (UTC)

High Command

According to the citation both on his page, and the High Command page, In the name of the Rebellion was the episode where Krennic was identified as a member of the High Command. Where was he identified as such in the episode?[[File:80px-PMCS Red Snifit Idle Animated.gif|50px]] Yo.-User:Fan26 (Talk) 01:13, November 4, 2017 (UTC)

  • When DT-F16 is running from the bay with the kyber crystal she says 'alert Director Krennic at Imperial Command' --Lewisr (talk) 01:16, November 4, 2017 (UTC)
    • Ah. I remember that he was mentioned in the episode, but it seems the speakers on my computer might've garbled that part. Thanks for clearing that up.[[File:80px-PMCS Red Snifit Idle Animated.gif|50px]] Yo.-User:Fan26 (Talk) 01:48, November 4, 2017 (UTC)
      • Glad to be of help --Lewisr (talk) 01:50, November 4, 2017 (UTC)

Krennic was

Krennic went to Scariff after Vader told him to ensure Galen Erso had not compromised the weapon. Krennic is ruthless like Moff Gideon as well as they kill people on their own side with the death troopers. Unsigned comment by Kennedy 3421 (talk • contribs)
