Ommin

The quote from the Rise of Skywalker novelization is that the Ommin harness was "used by THE ancient Sith King." This quote is clearly trying to say that the harness was named after an ancient Sith King named Ommin. If it wasn't saying that the quote would be something like "used by some/an ancient sith king". Giving the article a conjecture title is completely unnecessary in my opinion. Vid0907 15:46, 16 March 2020

  • The novelization actually does say "It was an Ommin harness, a mechanical spine once worn by an ancient Sith king." Nothing in that quote explicitly says the king was named Ommin, so the page has to thus be conjectural. Zed42 (talk) 22:02, March 17, 2020 (UTC)
  • Something interesting is that the Audiobook says "The ancient Sith Lord". So while it seems kind of vague in the novel the audio production makes it clear who it was. Also on top of that Pablo has said that it was about King Ommin. Unsigned comment by RoninJedi37 (talk • contribs)
  • Can you provide the full quote from the audio book? I'm on the fence about this.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 00:34, March 19, 2020 (UTC)
  • The quote from the audiobook is "Kylo had seen this before, while studying the Sith, and again while researching clues about Vader's wayfinder, it was an Ommin harness, a mechanical spine once worn by the ancient Sith King." It's clear to me that the intention here is that the harness was used and therefore named after the ancient Sith King known as Ommin. There is also a tweet from Pablo that I have saved. "A certain character couldn't appear in the Visual Dictionary, but you're damn right that thing holding him up would've been called an Ommin armature." There's really no doubt here what the intentions of the creatives are here. I feel there is enough evidence here to rename the article as Ommin. -- User:Vid0907 21:26, March 18, 2020 (UTC)
    • I agree. The article name should be changed--Vitus InfinitusTalk 01:53, March 19, 2020 (UTC)
      • I would also agree, just note this difference between audio and novel in the behind the scenes--Editoronthewiki (talk) 14:23, March 25, 2020 (UTC)
