What's the basis for saying that New Hope was launched "c.100 BBY", or that she's a Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser? Thanks! --McEwok 16:00, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

  • I think she's referred to as a dreadnaught in the novellas. KEJ 16:34, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
    • There is nothing to indicate her being of the Dreadnaught-class. She's referred to as a "Dreadnaught" in Dark Forces: Jedi Knight, nothing more. When she fights an Imperial-class Star Destroyer at the Battle of Milagro in that book, the Imperial captain is worried from the start that she might win, which she does. • The ship is described as 2x the size of an ISD, never explicitly called Dreadnaught-class in the novel. Over a decade late, but I'm getting rid of the speculation. It's be more valid to say it's an Invincible by depiction, but alas no clarification. Nolanstar (talk) 07:01, February 24, 2020 (UTC)

Adding a note

I think we should add a note that the name is likely related to Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Ztyran 03:58, June 23, 2011 (UTC)
