Contradictory dates
- This article says that first contact with the Mrlssi was 11,708 BBY, but the Mrlssi article says that first contact was c. 7000 BBY. Which is it? Jaywin 04:32, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
OK:
- The Essential Guide to Planets and Moons and The Essential Guide to Alien Species say nothing.
- Alien Encounters says "7000 years ago".
- Player's Guide to Tapani and Lords of the Expanse say the same in their aliens sections, while the history sections place it in the latter part of the Twelve Kingdoms Era, which ended in 5372 in the Tapani Sector calendar. That book gives the "present date" as 12,724 in the Tapani calendar, and says that 35 years have passed since the beginning of the Imperial era. Tthough the writers may have intended that era to start with Palpatine becoming Emperor, if we say it started when Palpatine became Chancellor, that gives us 3 ABY for the "present", which seems reasonable. That means the Twelve Kingdoms period ended in about 7,349 BBY, and the Mrlssi must have been contacted before that. The period lasted 4060 years, but the text is clear that first contact happened late in that era. The 11,708 ABY figure would place the first contact at the beginning of the period!
- Alien Anthology and Ultimate Alien Anthology both say "over seven millennia ago."
From the WEG Tapani sector sources, anywhere from 7,349 BBY to a few centuries earlier would be a possible date. —Silly Dan (talk) 04:03, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
No sense
Fact: 20 million sentient species. Fact: only around 1000 sectors. Fallacy: "Mrlsst was the only planet in the sector with an indigenous alien race." Where does that info come from exactly? If it's an old source we can probably assume it's bunk, no? Bjj8383 06:25, December 12, 2010 (UTC)
