Mercantile Fleet vs Imperial Trade Fleet

How do we know that the Mon Cala Mercantile Fleet was the fleet in Star Wars 48 and not the Mon Cala Imperial Trade Fleet, and thus where the mutiny takes place? I believe them to be the same, but we don't really know yet if they are.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 19:11, May 29, 2018 (UTC)

  • I'm going through the issue now and there's two of the Unidentified Mon Calamari starships at the end so I'm guessing the fleet we saw is the Trade fleet, though it does sort of seem like they are both the same fleet just different names --Lewisr (talk) 19:38, May 29, 2018 (UTC)
    • Yeah it's definitely inferred that they are one and the same. We should probably wait for the next issue and see what that states--Vitus InfinitusTalk 20:53, May 29, 2018 (UTC)
      • For sure yes, for now should the info on the Mercantile Fleet be moved to the Trade fleet? --Lewisr (talk) 20:55, May 29, 2018 (UTC)
        • That's probably the safest thing to do given that there were Imperials onboard the ships in the Trade Fleet--Vitus InfinitusTalk 20:56, May 29, 2018 (UTC)

Mon Cala Trade Fleet vs. Raddus and Ackbar's forces

Did the Mon Cala Merchantile Fleet aka Mon Cala Trade Fleet actually appear in Darth Vader? And why would Raddus' ships, which are likely part of the city he once led as mayor, be part of the Trade Fleet when they would've been the civics buildings for his people? Are we sure that even Home One, Aurora and other Mon Cal ships were part of the Trade Fleet? It seems that the Merchantile Fleet was actually just the ships that defected to the rebels during the Mutiny at Mon Cala arc and then got obliterated in the Hopes Dies arc. - Noash Retrac (talk) 12:34, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

  • Tarkin says that Raddus had taken ships from their merchant fleet and linked them together in his defense, he even specifically stated that they weren't military ships Lewisr (talk) 02:10, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
