Timeline

There seems to be an issue with when this mission is set, according to this new timeline, Star Wars Resistance starts in 33 ABY, and as Matt Martin says that issue 25 of the Poe Dameron comic series takes place around the beginning of the show, it must also be set around that time, therefore placing this mission at least in 33 ABY. According to Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious however, this mission takes place in 8011 in the CRC calendar (34 ABY). --Lewisr (talk) 03:28, September 3, 2019 (UTC)

  • Is it possible only the first couple episodes or so of Resistance are set in 33 ABY and the rest in 34 ABY? Like, (this is just an illustrative example) the first 3 episodes in 33, the rest in 34 and this mission is in the very beginning of the year, but still around what could reasonably be considered the beginning of the show? How specific was Matt Martin about when the comic is set in relation to the show? I haven't seen that. Toqgers (talk) 04:09, September 3, 2019 (UTC)
    • Matt says here that issue 25 of the Poe series ends around the beginning of Resistance. He also says here that issue 1 of the Poe series is at least a year off from TFA. I'm not sure if he has said anything since then --Lewisr (talk) 14:59, September 3, 2019 (UTC)
      • Hmmm this is tricky. I think I personally would give precedence to the in universe source of Scum and Villainy unless something else in universe definitively contradicts it. Toqgers (talk) 16:16, September 3, 2019 (UTC)
        • The date now needs to be looked at again after the visual dictionary, if Poe begins leading Black Squadron on missions in 32 ABY, with the Ovanis mission being the first, I find it hard to believe that the next arc is 2 years later, since the Poe series makes it seem like its relatively soon after the first mission --Lewisr (talk) 21:06, December 27, 2019 (UTC)
