Cassian claimed to have been serving in the Mimban Campaign when he was 16 years old. Luthen corrected him and stated that he was a mere cook who deserted. This still places his cooking service around 17 BBY a year after he was arrested by 4 Clone Stormtroopers on Ferrix.
