Killed by Palpatine?
Palpatine killed him? WTF? Did he just whip out a slugthrower and shoot him randomly? So confused... Randy Starkiller 04:22, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
- I reverted the page until a source can be provided. I doubt there's a source, sounds like silly fanon to me. Randy Starkiller 04:31, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
- Some anon has been running around the Wiki in the past few months saying that Emperor Palpatine killed a bunch of prequel era people in very pathetic manners. One had him putting Sly Moore's corpse on top of the Imperial Palace as a decorative device. God, some people just shouldn't be allowed to have a computer. -- SFH 04:34, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
- Definately agreed. Too bad we can't ban those kinds of people from teh interweb. Hmmm... actually, I think I'll see what I can do about that. :P Randy Starkiller 04:36, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Important info
Hydronium helped me find a quote in the ROTS novel i vaguely remembered:
You of all people know how I value loyalty and friendship; do you think I have no friends among the civil clergy in Theed? Your secret ceremony has never been secret. Not from me, at any rate. --Palpatine to Anakin ROTS novel p 277
Note this does not prove the clergyman told Palpatine, this is just what Palpatine CLAIMS happened. ROTS VD indicates Panaka told Palpatine. It is possible both are true.JustinGann 09:40, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
"Civil Clergy"?
I don't know what is meant by "civil clergy" in reference to the Naboo holyman. I don't know if the religion of Naboo (whatever it was) was a state religion, making the holyman into a government officer or civil servant.
As a real-life clergyman, i could shed some light: When performing weddings, ordained ministers serve the dual role of ministers of the church and a agent of the state; since marriages are legal contracts. Any weddings done without a license is illegal. Hence, we ministers say, "As a minister of (name of church) and the State of (name of state), I declare you husband and wife." Ryder's Comment
I've been in touch for a while with Mr. Windham and I mailed him with the slight problem that Maxiron was named an old friend in 'Jedi vs. Sith'. I added Mr. Windham's comment to the 'behind the scenes' section of the entry. --Sompeetalay 18:50, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
