Ampersand
Should we move this to "Master & Apprentice"? Looks like the publisher's site has been updated to match the ampersand on the book's cover. - Cwedin(talk) 03:26, October 6, 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think we should--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 03:28, October 6, 2018 (UTC)
- Does that mean the "Master and Apprentice" short story will be moved here, or will this be used as a redirect? Zed42 (talk) 03:48, October 6, 2018 (UTC)
Actually 7 years before TPM?
The source for the "seven years before TPM" figure is a podcast where Claudia Gray says: "Er, I think it's supposed to be roughly maybe about seven years before." Note the use of "I think," "supposed," "roughly," "maybe" and "about." In other words, she doesn't seem that sure the 7 years figure is exactly right. However, since we do know that Obi-Wan was born in 57 BBY and that he is 17 in this book, 40 BBY seems more correct than 39. --Lelal Mekha

- If nothing else, using Obi-Wan's birth might be better than the podcast as it's something deduced from a canon source rather than an (as far as I know) unofficial video. However, him being 17 years old could still place the novel early in 39 BBY, before he turns 18. Zed42 (talk) 09:39, April 17, 2019 (UTC)
Card Trader source?
Under the canon section it lists Card Trader as the source for the 57 BBY date, but it was actually a Leland Chee blog post circa 2005 (https://web.archive.org/web/20090119212402/http://blogs.starwars.com/holocron/13/comments) which does mention it's "approximate". Also, I don't think this discrepancy is worth reporting as a canon difference as no piece of media has specified his year of birth.—Unsigned comment by 199.116.118.198 (talk • contribs)
- It's not true that "no piece of media has reported his year of birth." It is reported in a Card Trader card. If you don't believe it, I'll try and find the card in question. --Lelal Mekha
