Temp page
- I made a temp page. You know the drill. — Silly Dan 16:49, 23 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- It's been a week, and the only comment is Okay, I think we can move this over to the main Logray article. -- SFH 17:15, 23 Oct 2005 (UTC) over on the temp talk page. So, I put up the temp article, which only had one contributor (me). — Silly Dan 22:16, 30 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Force-user
There is no magic in Star Wars except for the Force, right? So would it be possible that Logray is a Force user? .... 09:29, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
- His stats in the various West End Games souecebooks listed him as a Force-sensitive. —Silly Dan (talk) 11:37, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
- My bad, it is noted. .... 07:47, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Significance of name Logray
- Is there any possibility the Logray in The Ewok Adventure could be a different individual than the Logray in ROTJ? Inigo Montoya 03:55, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's pure fan speculation until some author decides it would make a good story and makes the retcon officially (though I could see it happening.) —Silly Dan (talk) 05:21, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, duly noted. Inigo Montoya 03:55, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Wouldn't it be interisting if Logray turned out to be Ewokese for shaman? Or possibly a name change, as with the Pope, with TEA Logray being "Logray VIII" and ROTJ Logray being "Logray IX".
- Or they could be related, or just names'sake for one another. Inigo Montoya 03:55, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- I suggested similar options on the Jedi Council Forums once. —Silly Dan (talk) 22:22, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

- Interisting to note that the narration in Caravan of Courage claims Logray was as old as the trees. Maybe it seemed that way because new shamans or other Ewoks kept adopting the name/title. 76.22.3.36 02:54, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- I doubt it- the Ewoks cartoon makes similar references to Logray's age, though it makes it quite blatant that it's to be taken that they're the SAME Logray- he's just one really, really old Ewok.
Case in point: The legend of the Sunstar-Shadowstone presented in 'The Cries of the Trees' presents Logray- the current village shaman- as the young Ewok brave who was the only Ewok courageous enough to face Morag when she came to the village to steal the Sunstar-Shadowstone.
Now, remember- they said he was the ONLY one who would face her.
In the later episode, 'Sunstar vs. Shadowstone', Logray says of Morag, "For two hundred snows you've plagued us!"
For proof, here's the first part of the episode over on Youtube- the line in question is delivered at roughly 9:46, so you can listen for yourself: [1]
Now, I suppose you can get some elbow room by finagling the relative length of an Endorian year compared to a Coruscantian year, but face it- it's pretty clear that Morag first tried to steal the Sunstar-Shadowstone during Logray's youth.
Why? Well, given that Logray was said to be 'the only Ewok brave enough to face her (Morag)', I find it hard to believe that she would abort an earlier attempt, given that it would logically have met no resistance whatsoever- only during her attempt when Logray faced her could the above statement be true.
In addition, right after the '200 snows' line, Morag delivers a line about ending 'our' fued- referring to her and Logray's PERSONAL fued, adding additonal evidence that their PERSONAL fued has been going on for 200 Endorian years.
It'd certainly be wild if we had a 200-plus-year-old Ewok running around, no doubt about THAT.
In any case, we have both Ewoks and EA Logray having the same references to their extreme age, and all three have the same churi bird skull headress. AND the same name. AND the same role. AND the same talents AND personality... I find it harder to believe they're NOT meant to be the same character than it is to believe that they ARE, differing appearances aside.
That said, any help getting any other references to Logray's age would be appreciated. Dewback rancher
- So we know Logray is old, but that doesn't prove or disprove anything. The example of the Pope given above is perfect; lots of Popes are old, wear the same clothes and have the same names, but they're not the same person. It seems natural that the Ewoks are usually going to pick someone very old to be the village shaman as they would have the most experience. The grey Logray seen in the cartoon and the telemovies (they look like the same character to me) could have died shortly before the events of Return Of The Jedi and been replaced by the blonde one. I'm not saying this is the case, but it's an interesting theory/possibility that makes far more sense than simply accepting Logray's massive change in appearance. Maybe he cast a spell on himself to change the way he looked! Coruscanti 21:45, June 21, 2011 (UTC)
Lego "incorrect"
There's a trivia note that says Logray's tan and white striped Lego figure is "incorrect." In what way? All the pictures in the article from ROTJ look tan and white striped to me. --Crockalley (talk) 17:58, November 24, 2013 (UTC)
sources???
can someone please give a reverence for where one can find logray being ousted after return of the jedi? 75.187.34.252 16:31, August 31, 2015 (UTC) EndorMoon
- This information appears in old West End Games roleplaying game sourcebooks, such as Galaxy Guide 5: Return of the Jediand Star Wars Trilogy Sourcebook, Special Edition. I believe that is where that part of his story was first added. —Silly Dan (talk) 17:58, August 31, 2015 (UTC)
