Note on class

The "Chronicles" section on the Knights of the Old Republic II website calls the Leviathan a "gigantic Interdictor-class Star Cruiser Flagship". -- Silly Dan 22:11, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

      • Not unprecendented at all. IRL, the Royal Navy had the Leander-class cruisers in the 1930s and the Leander-class frigates in the 1960s. Names get re-used all the time when the previous ships get destroyed or retired. Given that the Star Wars galaxy has recorded history going back over 25,000 years, there's a good chance there's more than just two Interdictor-classes.     • There are other Interdictors as well. Anyway, on topic: Was the Leviathan a unique ship or all Jedi Civil War-era "Star Destroyers" were of the same kind? I know that the article says that all those Sith ships were of the same kind, but they apparently had no interdictor capabilities. When the Star Forge is destroyed, they do not remain there to destroy all the Sith Fleet, but withdraw. - TopAce 18:30, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
      • I think that the Leviathan should have been a unique ship. I mean, seeing multiple Leviathans flying around is almost as silly as seeing an entire fleet of Invisible Hands in Clone Wars. Except that Clone Wars is Clone Wars, so that's excusable, whereas KOTOR is not. - lalala_la
  • Looking at the video of the leviathan destroing taris the weapons firing cant be the 20 quad lasers as they are only anti ship weapons and the turrets have 2 cannons meaning there are probably 20 Turbo Lasers I'll update this and if its wrong feel free to change back. simonsnizzle May 17 2006 —Unsigned comment by 62.164.251.152 (talk • contribs)

I think we should start the article with a quote such as "It's the Leviethan, Sal Karath's vessel" Carth Onasi. After all, there are quotes about it, and a qoutation does make the article look more porfessional. Oh, and Sikon, don't use article discussion space to critique the way a person signs thier post. Star Forge = Unicron >:)

The fact that the only ship to survive Malachor V and not go with Revan, Ravager, bears a similar but not identical design to Leviathan, indicates that the Sith's ex-Republic ships may have been modified by the Star Forge.

My first thought upon seeing the Ravager was "Hey, maybe that's to the Leviathan what Megatron is to Galvatron..." so... yeah. Cool!

Of course, the Ravager is much larger than the indictor-class ships, but I'll not let logic ruin this moment! :D (Ulicus 00:17, 29 May 2006 (UTC))

Actually, despite what the Ravager article says, I’m a little unsure; isn’t the ‘size difference’ between the Ravager and the interdictor-class vessels more to do with the *perspective* than there being any *actual* difference in size? (Ulicus 20:48, 1 June 2006 (UTC))

Interdiction

  • Interestingly I found that one meaning of interdict is to impede by steady bombardment. If you've played the game, you know the Leviathan bombards Taris.--Darth Oblivion 17:04, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
    • Yeah, but in Star Wars, "interdict" refers to the ability to drag ships out of hyperspace.

Changing of the earliest sighting of the Leviathan.

I would suggest that someone change the earliest sighting of the Leviathan, because I ran across the earliest known sighting of the Leviathan which was on the article Battle of Malachor V. --Dawth Mawl (talk) 10:23, March 13, 2013 (UTC)

Confirmation of Destruction

Can we confirm this ship was destroyed in the battle of the Star Forge? Sure, we know that roughly 3/4 of the way though the game the ship travelled to the Star Forge, but we don't know: (a) That it stayed there and was not sent off on another mission before the battle (b) That even if it participated in the battle that it was destroyed rather than retreated.
