Inappropriate style warning

I took out the inappropriate style warning because, so far, this entry is nothing more than the publisher's summary. Kuralyov 02:13, 12 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Request For Expansion

I put up the template because this article SORELY needs to be updated. I've seen other articles with more information about this book than this actual article. -RPharazon 02:16, 18 Dec 2005 (UTC)

So what's canonical and what's not?

The differences in this book and the Clone Wars cartoon are quite large - in the book, Anakin and Obi-wan are fighting Dooku on Tythe, and in the cartoon they're helping those mutated creatures and so forth, and the whole Grevious hunting Palpatine scene is pretty different. So, in the end, what interpetation is the true version? -Danik Kreldin 12:50, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Watching the clone wars cartoon originally, before reading the novel, I had sticked to its sory as opposed to the book. Soon after I changed my views and found the version in Labyrinth of Evil to be more conceivable. After I was done with the book, I had noticed it had never at anypoint explained Grievous's cough as opposed to where clone wars did. I would very much appreciate it if someone where to say which is canon and why. Unsigned comment by Herbsewell (talk • contribs)

Actually, aren't they both canon? And if so, I think Nelvaan happened first. The animated series often seems to jump ahead in time from scene to scene (if one attempts to fit it into established chronology), so while both the Battles of Nelvaan and Tythe seem to be followed directly by the Battle of Coruscant, it is easier to assume that Nelvaan happened first, then Tythe, with Coruscant beginning during Tythe and continuing after it. This doesn't resolve inconsistencies during accounts of Coruscant, of course, but nothing will... Unsigned comment by 195.8.166.186 (talk • contribs)

I haven't read Labyrinth of Evil but can't you easily tell if it was before or after Nelvaan by if Anakin has his scar or not? Unsigned comment by 66.68.11.4 (talk • contribs)

  • Agreed. This was a horrible, confusing mess. I think I have everything attributed to the right person now, but in the future, remember to use four tildes (~~~~), everyone. -- Ozzel 02:59, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

From my Point of View the differences between the ROTS novelization and the surrounding novels are quite large compared to the movie... in general I usually go by what's on screen as canonical more than the bookstuff... except for that Nelvaan stuff. --35.12.21.56 03:03, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

So how do you know Pablo Jill was in it? All it says is "two jedi masters". That could be anyone! Wedgeroks! 03:41, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Behind the Scenes

I would be very interested to know more detail about the behind-the-scenes reasons for the contradictions between the two works. It would seem that normally the licensing people keep a tighter hold on this sort of thing. I wonder what went wrong here, particularly as both works were so high-profile and lead directly in to the movie.

Apparently, Chapters 23-25 of Clone Wars were based on an early draft of Labyrinth of Evil. The latter was changed before it was itself released, hence the disparities. Unsigned comment by 195.8.166.186 (talk • contribs)

Rune Haako

What does Rune Haako do in this book? .... 04:57, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

"The first mention of Darth Plagueis"

I was wondering what this "The first mention of Darth Plagueis" is. Nothing is explained. Is it available in the book and not in the series, or something else? I haven't read the book and I don't remember any mention of Plagueis in the series... I think that sentence should be completed with an appropriate explanation. Klow 10:37, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

- Darth Plagueis is mentioned in the novel, and not the cartoon series. The mention in-novel is a passing one, in a short descriptive paragraph regarding palpatines past. ForceWound

Mistake

Hello guys, I'm Finwe from the german Jedipedia and I have a question to the english Version of the book Labyrinth of Evil. Shortly before Kit Fisto and Mace Windu fight against General Grievous and his Guards, there is written, that Kit Fistos lightsaber is blue, but I know, that it has to be green. Now I want to know, whether it is a translation mistake of the translator or a mistake of the author.
Thank you very much. I hope you understand my english. ;-)

--Finwe 07:29, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

  • Does nobody can look it up? --Finwe13:47, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
    • 'To the rear of the car, where Grievous's pair of MagnaGuards had made the mistake of pitting themselves against Kit Fisto, the Nautolan's blade was a cyclone of blazing blue light.' Fank
      • Thank you. =) Then it is a mistake of the author. --Finwe 14:43, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Plot Summary

I am currently reading the book and adding to the plot as I go. I am trying to get in a good amount of detail however I do not want the plot summary to be absurdly long which is why I removed some of the content from it. I will continue to add more as I go however if anyone has suggestions as I'm working on it for keeping it tidy feel free to help out. Rayn3000 21:07, 3 December 2008 (UTC)User:Rayn3000

"Dislocating Effects"

I think there should be a bit of an expansion on this part of the story, because a lot of people are curious as to what, exactly, happened to Obi-Wan that was mentioned in Ep. III. Also, call me paranoid, but I distinctly remember there was a talk section discussing this somewhere here before because I remember several people expressing concerns/curiosity as to what, exactly, happened. I actually read the book, but I'm still not entirely sure what the spores did, other than maybe give him some sort of hallucinogens or something strange. Xanofar 02:42, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

I was just under the impression that it had a bit of like an intoxicating effect on him. Thoughts?Rayn3000 21:14, 28 February 2009 (UTC)User:Rayn3000

Rex

According to CT-7567/Legends page, Rex appeared in this book. It would be retcon, because the book came out before he was created by Dave Filoni and the storyboard for the Clone Wars, but I feel like I needed to ask your opinions before I added it to the page. --Metalworker14 (talk) 15:24, January 27, 2018 (UTC)

  • I can't find anything on Rex's legend page suggesting he's in this book. There's some information on the page referenced to the book, but that isn't about Rex. Ayrehead02 (talk) 17:14, January 27, 2018 (UTC)

Sector I-Thirty-Three

Sector I-Thirty-Three is not displayed among the locations. I read it to be on Coruscant, not a sector of the Republic Space, but I would like to know how others read it.--Been L'toth (talk) 04:45, February 19, 2018 (UTC)
