Class
From which source comes the information, that this ship is actually a Interdictor-class Star Destroyer? Doesn't the book state its a cruiser? --Modgamers 21:57, April 13, 2012 (UTC)
- I changed it to an Interdictor-class Star Destroyer, because some anonymous user put it in the Interdictor-class Star Destroyer article, and I assumed that was correct. Zeta1127 of the 89th Legion (talk) 22:07, April 13, 2012 (UTC)
- Poorly, it seams that it's not a new Star Destroyer, but rather an old interdictor cruiser. --Modgamers 22:08, April 13, 2012 (UTC)
- How am I supposed to know, it doesn't seem unreasonable to me, but how am I supposed to know, no one has questioned this edit since I did it until now. Zeta1127 of the 89th Legion (talk) 22:15, April 13, 2012 (UTC)
- Never trust IPs and check sources by yourself ;) Especially when we talk about an Interdictor-Star Destroyer. There are many people, which cannot handle two ship classes having the same prefix. --Modgamers 22:21, April 13, 2012 (UTC)
- That is exactly why I believe the Interdictor-class Star Destroyer is the same thing as the Dominator-class Star Destroyer, the Imperial-class Super Star Destroyer is the same thing as the Allegiance-class Star Battlecruiser (Fractalsponge's Allegiance-class), and the Republic-class cruiser is the same thing as the Republic-class Star Destroyer, but official sources will scarcely address such matters. The point about the Interdicotr-class SD and Dominator-class SD (and also Allegiance etc.) is that, the Dominator is just the first ship we know, or rather appear to us and is named. That doesn't necessarily mean that this is the first ship of its class (remember, there is a Interdictor in Vader's Quest, which is set 4 years befor we meet the Dominator). We don't know exactly if we could use our "earth" ship-naming convention in the SW-Universe (or rather lets say the anglo-american naming convention; we germans e.g. use(d) rather numerical designations for our submarine- and destroyer-classes like Typ 36 A, and call it rather a type not a class). I mean the first ship of the Imperator-class was the Executrix and not a ship named Imperator. Further more the class gets renamed. So basicly I'm in favor of the more official designations of these ship classes (Interdictor-class SD was first given in the Fact File and now reused in the EGtW, and I'm happy with it), rather than use these fanon names by Curtis Saxton, which could be wrong as I written above. --Modgamers 07:42, April 14, 2012 (UTC)
