Jeff Carlisle
I think Jeffrey Carlisle should be redirected back to Jeff Carlisle. Jeffrey may be how WotC credits him in a single publication, but on the artist's own website, he is only referred to, and he signs his posts, as Jeff. Thoughts? Anyone else agree? - JMAS 15:04, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Well, considering that my name is JEFFERY and not JEFFREY, I think that it should be simply Jeff Carlisle, or the corrected Jeffery Carlisle. - Jeff Carlisle
- The "Jeffrey" spelling comes from this page, so hopefully if you are the real Jeff Carlisle, you can tell them that they're spelling your name wrong. We've always gone with the "full name" in the past haven't we? Though if the artist says his name is Jeff, I guess we can't fault him for that. :-P Cull Tremayne 09:02, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, WOTC misspelled my name. Usually, they credit me as Jeff, not Jeffery or JEFFRY as they mispelled it. So, who do I talk to about changing this here? Jeff Carlisle
- If you have some way of verifying you are the real Jeff Carlisle, then I'll gladly move the page back to Jeff over Jeffrey. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 03:38, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Just as confirmation, I emailed Jeff though his official website, and he confirmed that User:Jeff Carlisle is indeed him. I am waiting to hear back from him weather he prefers the article to be moved to Jeffery Carlisle or back to Jeff Carlisle. Once I do, I'll be making the move. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 21:44, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds good JMAS. Nice follow up. --Eyrezer 21:53, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Heh, I never got around to asking the follow up question, but he did confirm that his name "wasn't" Jeffrey Carlisle.

Dear Ben--my birth name is Jeffery Allen Carlisle. Hence, the JAC I use in my Glyph that I use in my signature. My professional name is simply Jeff Carlisle, and is the way I do my signature. The Wookiepedia article is flat wrong and I am hoping they will change it soon. They wrote it that way due to the common spelling "Jeffrey" and a misprint that WOTC used in one book. I hope that answers your question. Thanks. Jeff | |
I guess that means we go with "Jeff Carlisle". Cull Tremayne 08:20, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- Just so you don't move this back to Jeff Carlisle, Cull, I also emailed Jeff through his website, and when I asked him if he preferred the article to be Jeff or Jeffery, he said he's prefer it to be Jeffery Carlisle, his full, legal first name. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 17:39, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- Cool. I always wondered what the "A" stood for. Cull Tremayne 21:12, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Incomplete
Jeff worked on The Essential Reader's Companion. Considering that book is old canon, and therefore 6+ years old, there may be more things missing.Been L'toth (talk) 16:55, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
