Corellian

Do we have a source for him being Corellian? I left it in when I did my overhaul a while back, but I haven't seen a source yet saying he was of Corellian lineage. JSarek 22:29, 17 May 2005 (UTC)

  • Okay, now that we're categorizing him as Corellian, this question is more important than ever . . . jSarek 06:24, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Clone Wars era

It would be great if any contributors with access to the Republic comics and/or Labyrinth of Evil would add in details from his Clone Wars service. --SparqMan 06:34, 14 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Republic #78 Image

That's Piett, not Dodonna, who's standing next to Autem. Or a guy who looks like Piett. Anyhow, it's not Dodonna. -- 000 06:09, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

  • No. It's Dodonna. Especially since he's referred to as such in the comic, and called the Hero of Rendilli. QuentinGeorge 06:11, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
    • Dodonna's in the first frame, to the right and slightly in front of Autem. The Piett lookalike is in the center, obscured by Autem's speech bubble. In the frame in question Dodonna is 'off camera,' and "Piett" is seen behind and to the right of Autem.--000 06:13, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
      • I beg to differ. Looks like the same guy to me, and Autem has just moved., since he's walking towards Dodonna. QuentinGeorge 06:15, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Comicpage

  • Piett would have just been 20 at the end of the Clone Wars. Doesn't seem likely that he would be a captain then. -- SFH 06:16, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
    • That's a good point. It was just captains, but I think the debate isn't that the guy in the second page IS Piett, but that it ISN'T Dodonna. It's agreed that the guy in the first frame is, but 000 argues that the guy in the second frame is another person altogether. QuentinGeorge 06:19, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
    • Anyway, if someone's got a good scan of the uncontested frame, I'm willing to have the picture replaced. QuentinGeorge 06:20, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
      • Does this work? Dodonna 19BBY -- 000 06:24, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
        • Works for me. Actually, it's better anyway, since the other pic is mainly of Sagoro Autem. QuentinGeorge 06:25, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
          • Fair enough. Sorry for the problems... I see how the other guy could also be interpreted as Dodonna. I'll go ahead and let someone else add the new image, since I've always had issues with image placement... -- 000 06:27, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Appearances

  • Either Jan or a stunningly similar character appears in Star Wars: The Mystery of the Rebellious Robot. It's never stated explicitly that it was him in the story, but he appears in illustrations....my question? Why remove his appearance from the Appearances section and keep the corresponding text from that appearance in the article? It's contradictory.Crowe 05:03, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Conflicting...

In Rebel Strike, you have to protect someone who looks very much like Dodonna, and you escape with him. However, according to GB, Dodonna is captured. Has anyone got any ideas? Unit 8311 17:47, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

That's because the Rebels went back to the moon after that mission. Apoc 21:19, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Here's a problem: the A-Wing fighter was designed jointly by Dodonna and Walex Blissex in response to the "lessons learned" at Yavin, and was in service at Endor. How did Dodonna manage to design a fighter and put it into Alliance production while imprisoned at Lusankya? Ze'ev Skordeno 11:39, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Presumably, he did most of his work on the fighter during the six-month Siege at Yavin. jSarek 12:26, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
  • According to Rebel Strike, Dodonna and luke escaped with the help of sarkli. However, it had previously been established in GB that he had been kept prisoner by vader after blowing up the yavin base. This was retconned by another piece of EU that stated that there were Interdictors in yavin space, preventing luke and dodonna's transport from leaving. This is followed by the insertion of the 4th battle of yavin (the one in the rise of the empire yavin campaign in BF2). You'll notice, however, that this timeline was mostly retcon, as evidenced by the fact that interdictors are supposed to be present at yavin, yet in the 4th battle of yavin, the imperial officers worry about the rebel jumping to hyperspace through the imperial fleet, which would be impossible due to the interdictors.--Logan Felipe 14:48, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Imperial capture

When exactly was Dodonna captured? I was under the impression that is was before Idiot's Array , yet he appears in it. --Hobbie 17:46, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

  • IIRC, he's captured in the first Empire mission of SWGB, which I assume is about six months or so after Yavin. Unit 8311 17:49, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

continuity error

"After the destruction of the Death Star, Skywalker spearheaded a number of missions for the Rebel Alliance. Within two weeks of the Battle of Yavin, Skywalker had participated in destroying the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Liquidator, helped the Alliance collect new X-wings directly from Vors Voorhorian (where he displayed his extraordinary potential in bringing down a TIE Fighter using only his father's lightsaber), fought in the Battle of Vactooine, and traveled to Bonadan and the Unknown Regions. He was also sent to investigate new base locations on the Keeper's world, Akuria II, and Drexel. All three ventures ended in violence and failure.

Six months after the Battle of Yavin, Skywalker, Solo, and Chewbacca were dispatched to investigate BloodScar pirate activity near a Rebel supply line, although Solo was reluctant and unsure of his ultimate role in the Alliance. During the mission, Skywalker and the others became mixed up with a group of AWOL stormtroopers, and traveled with them on their ship after the rogue stormtroopers began following them and helped them beat off a pirate attack. The stormtroopers originally posed as Consolidated Shipping investigators while the Rebels posed as independent shippers, but they quickly learned each other's identity. Neither side fully trusted the other, but Skywalker was able to keep hostilities from breaking out between them. However, they then learned that Leia Organa was being hunted on Shelkonwa, and sought to help her, while the Hand of Judgment believed that the pirates had a connection to the Governor's office on Shelkonwa. The three Rebels, with some aid from the renegade Imperials, were able to sneak into Makrin City and rescue Organa, and escape back to the Rebel Alliance despite a large Imperial presence, including that of Darth Vader."

Problem? According to EU sources, luke, wedge and dodonna's transport was prevented from jumping to hyperspace by the interdictor cruisers at yavin. that means luke couldn't have participated in the above events prior to 6 months ABY, as the first paragraph occurred before 6 ABY.--Logan Felipe 14:56, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

May the Force be with you?

Anyone else find it odd that a non-Jedi is using that phrase in this era?

  • He served alongside the Jedi during the Clone Wars and was one of the few who never believed any of Palpatine's crap about the Jedi being traitors, the Force not being real, etc.--Bella'Mia 01:50, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

Forn Dodonna Relation?

I was wondering if Jan Dodonna is possibly related to Forn Dodonna from Knights of the Old Republic, or if it was just an easter egg left by the creators. Unsigned comment by 72.130.170.70 (talk • contribs)

  • While a familial relationship is possible, it has never been addressed one way or the other in a canon source. jSarek 07:21, April 24, 2010 (UTC)
