Imperial Intelligence
According to Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know an organization known as Imperial Intelligence exists, stated on page 75 in a joke; "Q: How many ISB agents does it take to change a lightbulb? A: Two. One to remove it. Another to accuse the first of disloyalty! [A common joke among Imperial Intelligence agents]"
As well as being mentioned in a side blurb stating: "Did you know it's taken just 14 years for the ISB to grow from a handful of agents to a vast network double the size of Imperial Intelligence?!"
Thus, should we link the Legends Imperial Intelligence to this new Canon Imperial Intelligence, and remove Military Intelligence as the Legends Imperial Intelligence's Canon counterpart?
Not part of COMPNOR
Where exactly in Tarkin is it said that Military Intelligence is part of the COMPNOR? Everything seems to point to the contrary. --LelalMekha (talk) 22:54, July 22, 2016 (UTC)
II and MI Separate?
I remember way back when Imperial Intelligence was linked to the Military Intelligence when Absolutely Everything came out. Now that Rogue One seems to be suggesting that II is a seperate entity, should we split the page into two?

- How exactly is Rogue One suggesting that? Is it something from the Ultimate Visual Guide? Because if there is a source that talks about II and MI as different entities then the page should be split. - Tommy-Macaroni

Relationship with the Imperial Information Office
According to the IGV-55 surveillance vessel's Databank entry, it was utilized by Imperial Intelligence. However, we known that the techs seen in "Double Agent Droid" were members of the Imperial Information Office and seem to have a rivalry with the ISB. Could the two possibly be the same organization, with the IIO being the more official name? - AV-6R7Crew Pit 19:35, March 13, 2017 (UTC)
- I was going under the assumption that the IIO is under II, but you could be right. Maybe an ask Pablo situation.... -Tommy-Macaroni

- That's what I originally assumed, but one source calls the organization attached to that emblem the IIO, while another calls it Imperial Intelligence. -

- In that case, I will stop editing articles the way I have (by putting IIO under II), and wait to see what other Wookieepedians think. If we can't seem to work it out, then we could ask Pablo or someone. Personally, I think either scenario could work. -Tommy-Macaroni

- My understanding is that the IIO is a sub-agency of the the Military Intelligence. We must remember that the structure of Imperial branches was deliberately labyrinthine, with many agencies who were themselves divided in sub-agencies. Not to mention the many rivalries. --Lelal Mekha

Is this an Imperial Intelligence officer in A New Hope?
I believe the officer wearing a gray uniform with a black cap and no code cylinders is from Imperial Intelligence. Is this correct? DarthJarJar27 (talk) 23:17, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
